  8. You guys are major ego boosters! Thank you, I really appreciate all the wonderful comments! I will get around to making the images bigger and clickable for your viewing pleasure, you candle pervs , as soon as I can. Need DH's help for that, I only know how to crop & resize :embarasse.
  9. Thanks guys! The person I originally made them for called them "nothing special" I thought I was the only one that finds them cute, DH is biased so I can't trust him lol. I'm glad you guys do
  10. Hi all, Haven't posted in the gallery in awhile! These are nothing special. Green/White is cucumber melon and the Blk/White is white tea. Sorry for the $hitty photography :embarasse ~TFL
  11. I've been working on something similar, though mine are more stripey. I'll post a pic in the gallery later. Those sure are pretty, I think Bruce could explain better, he had some similar tapers.
  12. Beautiful as always! The first ones my fav too :highfive:
  13. I figured 3% was too much, still got some seepage too. Though I only add 2tsp of stearic so I'll have to play with that. Think a pinch of vybar pp will drastically effect the mottle? I'm playing with twisting the flat braids for wicking, seems like they're controlling the bulge better...?
  14. Top you're right. I made another mottle with 1343 @ 3%, 2tsp stearic and I did get the same mottle effect as the 6%. I also made an error in my first formula when I didn't add any stearic. That explains the fingernailing w/o the mottle. I test burned them side by side. The 6% pillar burns with an LX-30 , the 3% burns with a 22. The higher FO load pillar is exhibiting the characteristics that you described: lots of buldging, high wicking, and just plain funky. I'm not crazy about either burns, but I think thats a fault of my own, I tend to fall asleep while trying to keep relief holes open :rolleyes2
  15. Berry Creme Brulee Buttercreme Frosting Country Berry Hotcakes Chocolate I think I like bakery scents!
  16. wholesale supplies plus has them too, but in black
  17. On the contrary, for me at least. I made one with 3%, got no mottle, just a bit of fingernailing. I bumped it up to 1 oz and the mottle is full and looks awesome. Haven't test burned it yet.
  18. Can I jump in here? Because I'm confused now. When I searched, the info I found to make a mottle with 1343 said you need to up the FO (about 1 oz. pp), add 2 teaspoons stearic, which makes the crystals bind and pull apart (or something of that sort), to create the effect...? And sweating was a good thing. If adding more than 3-4% with no vybar, interferes with proper burning, then how do you make a mottle? :undecided Sorry for the run on!
  19. Try adding FO at 175 and pour at 130. Also you need to cure for about a week, 2 is best. ~HTH
