  1. This is the wax I use and after testing all wicks, I decided the CD's work best for me. Also pouring at 130 makes for smoother tops and little to no frosting.
  2. I'm going to be placing my first order with BCN soon, and I wanted to know what your must haves from here are? I've been using peaks storm watch and hyacinth so I'll be ordering those for comparison, my other picks so far are: china rain voodoo love ylang ylang witche's brew what else, what else...! I use CC cucumber melon, anyone try both for comparison? Which did you prefer? ~TY!
  3. I've tried 3 different love spells and I think the one from peaks stinks. Try lonestar, theres has a more citrus smell to it.
  4. grrr, then I just don't like the scent. I'll have to try sos or a dif place to see if theres one that's more tolerable for me. Thanks guys!
  5. Anyone know a really nice jasmine that throws well in soy? I've tried peaks but I can't stand it! Maybe I just don't like the scent, but it's my MIL favorite and she wasn't crazy about this one either. :undecided
  6. Just saw it and was on my way here to start a thread! It looks awesome, and it's much more organized!
  7. I love how you're all casual about your work, like it's no big deal. :rolleyes2 Stunning candles! You're photography style rocks too!
  8. If you can't put scented candles with candy, then why would a scented bear be any different? You're posting in the gallery section, you might wanna try the general section to get answers.
  9. Really? All they carry is soy, I'd imagine they would test all their FO's in it? Only thing I'm not too happy about with MC is that they recommend adding 1.5 oz. pp. Candle Cocoon FO's were a recent try for me, so far I think they have nice strong scents at a lower oz pp ratio.
  10. LOL ok I see what you mean. I only put tealights in mine. Now that you mention votive, I gave a cane to my mom and she put a votive in there with the wrong kind of holder. The votive was sitting on top of the holder (container was too small) and it did melt a little bit off the side of it. I didn't expect anyone to put a votive in there in the first place, on top of that the way she had it set up it was more like a pillar candle in there! But as far as tealights go, I've never had a problem with the 1343.
  11. The sleeve is used to hold embeds in place. If you aren't using any, then you don't need it. You have to keep lifting the sleeve every 2-3 as it's cooling so that it doesn't stick to the bottom.
  12. the bottom begins to form as soon as you pour in the wax.
  13. hmm I've never had a problem... what was your light source?
  14. How on earth do you keep the shroom out of the wax when using these?
  15. I've never used it but they say: IGI 1313 Translucent 143mp Wax - THE MOST TRANSLUCENT WAX AVAILABLE! Finally a beautifully translucent wax that does not mottle or snowflake! Great for hurricanes, electric candles embedded candles or any product where a more translucent look is needed. No additives needed!
  16. what wax are you using with this wick for tealights? I've tried several and just got my hands on the 3's, and it doesn't look too good with my 444. Only thing I can think of is I cut the wick too short. Or it's just to small for this wax?
  17. There's just no winning is there! Here I was all excited that my melts are finally throwing around the house. On top of it all I can't freakin get the wick right on these stupid tealights Oh well, I'll have to do a comparison test. Hopefully the electric warmer will be worth it. And I'm still very :angry2:
  18. Hey guys, I just got an electric tart warmer from candles and supplies. I've only used ones with tealights so I have to ask. I'm noticing some light steam coming off the wax while its on the warmer. Is it suppose to be this way? (The throw is so much better than my tealight warmer!)
  19. ok why does this post feel creepy?
  20. Great tins! Try doing an "after xmas sale." People shop for next year after the holidays too.
