  1. Which ones did you get? I use quite a few Daystar FO's and they are my favorite to pour!
  2. Try using RRD's or CD's, for me they seem to handle the FO and Color load better. HTH
  3. Well I have seen it all...if you think calling them natural is crazy scroll down to the middle of this site and read all about MACC "Organic Soy Candles" SOY CANDLES : WHOLESALE Soy Candles : CUSTOM PRIVATE LABEL Soy Candles It sounds like they have taken the wording from the NGI site but even NGI does not state their wax as "Organic" :rolleyes2
  4. I agree with you Candlebug...once adding fo and fragrance you really do not have a natural product since they are synthetic and to state it as such can be misleading...I do however know that there are very eco-friendly FO's and Colors which do cut down on some of the chemical ingredients which can make your candle a little more environmentally friendly....
  5. ....this is taken directly form the NGI site about Ecosoya Wax...perhaps this is why it seems to be a little more expenisve then other brands...who knows. But if I'm reading this correctly it would appear that they do not use GMO products. "Every ingredient has met with the approval of the United States Food and Drug Administration and Kosher Certification criteria. EcoSoya™ soy waxes are FREE from pesticides, herbicides and Genetically Modified Material." Edited for spelling!
  6. WooHoo....congradulations...that is awesome....:whoohoo: :whoohoo: :whoohoo:
  7. wow...your display is great...I'm really glad that you did well.
  8. I just poured Vanilla Bean Noel Type....mmmm...smells yummy!
  9. I had the same problem also....not just with Eco's but also with LX's in CB Advanced and CB 135. Great first burn then second burn was pathetic...I switched to CD's and RRD's and have not had that problem since!
  10. I just got a small order of Masons from Alabaster also with pewter lids and they seem to be a nice jar..have not noticed anything odd about them. HTH
  11. oooo....everybodies jars look so pretty. I didn't know that you could get the Mason jars smooth without anything on them!
  12. gosh....I'm jealouse...I have tried every combo I can think of to get my bulb jars to burn clean with no hang-up or super hot. Single wicks tended to soot and leave hang-up, double tended to get way too hot. I'm really glad you were able to wick your bulb jars...I have decided to keep mine as wickless...lol:wink2:
  13. wow...I have never seen anything like that before made out of wax....those are really cool...
  14. All I can say is...good luck finding suppliers in Florida. I only know of one supplier and they only carry Enchanted Lites soy www.floridasoysolutions.com Otherwise I would highly reccomend Candle Science....I think they are in NC or maybe it is SC...I'm not sure.... www.Candlescience.com Also another to consider is Alabaster in Alabama... www.alabastercandlesupply.com HTH...
  15. There is also hormones and antibiotics in our meat as well as pesticides and herbacides on our veggies and we wash our dishes and clothes in chemcical surfactants then eat off of them and there are numerous chemicals and nano particles in our personal care, all the while being told that it will not harm us...unfortunately there is this thing called "Bio-accumulation" So I guess it doesn't surprise me that Petroleum products are in everything also. My post was in response to is "Paraffin Skin Safe" and clearly there are much safer moisturizer to put on your body, again this is JMO Edited for spelling
  16. Petroleum by-product: coats the skin like plastic, clogging the pores. Interferes with skin's ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and other disorders. Slows down skin function and cell development, resulting in premature aging. Used in many products (baby oil is 100% mineral oil!) Any mineral oil derivative can be contaminated with cancer causing PAH's (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons). Manufacturers use petrolatum because it is unbelievably cheap. Mineral oil Liquidum paraffinum (also known as posh mineral oil!) Paraffin oil Paraffin wax PetrolatumPersonally if I had a choice I wouldn't burn it or put it on my skin....JMO
  17. I hate when that happens...there is nothing worse then a short wick....
  18. I have been trying to wick a 10oz bulb jar with soy for several months now with no luck...I have tried Eco's, LX's, RRD's CD's and Premier but when I double wick it gets too hot...when I single wick it doesn't burn or dies out in the middle so if anyone has had any luck with this jar congradulations:yay: . Also if anyone wants any of these jars you can have them for .60 per jar...lol
  19. Darn...I knew I spelled flippant wrong....perhaps you desire to help her got lost in the translation of your email, I'm not trying to be critical of anything I'm just honestly stating how your response to her came across to me, as a matter of fact your response to me has the same flippant sarcastic feel, so maybe it is just the way I'm reading it...if so my appologies...
  20. I think she was nicely asking for help...not a flipant sarcastic reply...JMO :lipsrseal
  21. Im real sure the FDA would love to see that candle maker. Bruce Yea...unfortunately the FDA is too busy kissing the butts of the big drug companies to pass their very un-safe and barely tested drugs to even pay attention to something like this...:tiptoe:
  22. I store my wax in an extra bedroom...we do not have basements in South Florida and with all the heat and humidity down here my garage easily gets up into the mid to upper 80's most of the year...would be concerned about it melting on me...
  23. Darn....I need 798's and 99's...I wonder if there would be that much of a difference between a 795 and a 798...a co-op would be a good idea...
