    Oh and another question... Do they have the "5" on the bottom? Are they the grade of plastic that we can use so that it doesn't suck out the scent?

    That sounds like a great idea. After you have put them in the oven a few times don't they get ruined? I am currently using dixie bowls. If it works the plasticwear might be nice if it lasts longer! I only have one presto I would love to get more but, I only have so many electrical outlets!! lol

    Mojitos are in my pot. I am working on stocking up on my "icecubes, limes slices and mint leaves" so that I can get about 16 candles done for a bar that I now have a "contract" with. I have to make 4 for display on the bar and 12 to keep them stocked up for sale. I think I am going to try to get a few more done so that when stock runs low I won't have to rush to get more done. I made flyers to post and hopefully they will sell. They have done great with my "customers" ..lets see how the general public likes them! Yehoo! I am selling! It is such a rush!

    the FAQ thread is where you should start. there is a wealth of knowledge on this board and on the archives (the old board) I think you have lots of reading to do. The lines are generally reffered to as jump lines. Sometimes I like them. Pouring to cool was your problem. If you would like the smooth shiny surface try pouring a tad hotter. I like to pour at 175, but that is a matter of personal preference and what works for you. Becareful not to pour to hot and not to heat your molds to hot because then you will get pits (small holes in the suface of your candle)

    I have never usd the glue dots but the wick stickums slip and move on me all the time-very frustating!

    what about some kind of pumpkin spice other than a clove or sandlwood mix or a christmasy spicey scent and renaming..I am fresh out of ideas!

    oh what about doing cafe ole and beignets that waould be awesome! I went to New orleans and had cafe ole and beignets had them at some famous cafe in the french quarter ...and now I can't remeber the name of the cafe. somehow I think it was Cafe Ole! Not sure though and I think they spell it cafe a lauit or something like that ok I just looked it up and it is Cafe Du Monde

    I am looking into starting to do shows. I don't have a table and haven't the foggiest idea where to find a buffet or card table to set up on. I thought of maybe asking my church if I can borrow one. What do you all use and where would I find them?

    There are tons of "tea" scents oh and wine scents What about tiramisu (have not smelled it in a candle but it I know it is a totally yummy desert)

    MOJITO!!!!!!!!! They are a huge it for me! It is an alcoholic drink usually made with bicardi rum. In the drink they put limes, mint and or basil leaves. It smells like lime/sugar/slight mint. Very light and fabulous!!! They are very popular in Miami. I know a few "upscale" ladies that drink them. They have been a huge hit for me. I took one to my karaoke bar to test while there, EVERYONE LOVED it. I just finally got my wick/wax/scent combo down. I have orders for something like a dozen--already. People know that they have to wait for testing and they are even willing to wait for them.

    there was some talk about it on the old board. I am to lazy to search the archives for you. But you could try searching. I think a good one that the person had found was sold straight from the manufacure and only in 25 pound orders.

    I mostly use the color blocks. I was having trouble with the reds not mixing. I was getting the little flecks at the top of the candle. I got some red liquid to try out. I love the color and that I can get pink from it. I am still having trouble getting the pink I want. I just recently purchased some blue and green liquid to try. I think it is best to try some of each and then decide what works best for you. I don't worry as much as others about color matching, because I don't mass produce like some do.
