  1. If I didn't have a sense of humor, I would be in tears over today. I was the only seller that showed up at the Farmer's Market!! I even went and checked the sign, thinking maybe it was closed! It wasn't. I had two little old ladies stop, and a funeral procession full of looky-loo's....but that was it. I sat long enough to read my chapters needed to complete my homework, and I was outta there!!! The funny part is, I had to go to work after that and I sold two candles because someone had asked if I had any with me! LOL What a day!
  2. I use the online labels and spray them with clear krylon. Unfortunately this is the only method I have found so far that keeps them from running in the shower.
  3. I wanted to start small because it looks like fun and I love personalized jewelry, but OMG!!! :shocked2: The price of the tools/stamps/raw materials is c-r-a-z-y!!! Can anyone point me in the direction of the cheapest supplier? I'm hoping I was looking on the priciest supplier site! LOL Thanks in advance!
  4. My MP, conditioner and BB's I do in the kitchen, just because it is easier. I use a 10% bleach solution to wipe down my countertop before I work. My candles and CP soaps I do in my workshop, because I don't want to deal with lye or wax in my kitchen. I don't have an elaborate workshop, but it is in the works if we add on!
  5. Thanks SoapFreak!! I just have to order the cosmocil & the VCO special, but I have everything else. I can't wait to try this!
  6. It looks like Miami Erie is still around? They have a banner here on Craftserver!
  7. Don't forget Sola's. It may have been a while since she left but dayum I miss that Guavaberry and Be Delicious of hers!! Also, soapncandles is gone but her oils are at AH/RE. Is Supplies 4 Candles still around?
  8. Is there anywhere to get the kokum and VCO together for a reasonable price?? The only place I've found that sells both for a reasonable price per pound is Columbus Foods. I don't need that much of each of those ingredients. If someone would want to split with me I would order from there! Otherwise, does anyone else have any suggestions?
  9. I get the driest alligator skin in the winter and just happened across this recipe! I think I may give it a whirl! Now I just have to find some cheap (but good quality) kokum & VCO. I've been wanting to try VCO forever and this recipe gives me a good excuse! LOL Thanks for sharing it SoapFreak!
  10. This scent just screams summer! I have only put it in MP so far and wondering what it is like in candles. Is it overpowering in Joy or Palm? I only have a little 1 oz'er here, so that is why I ask. Thanks in advance!
  11. I second coffee butter. Very nice! Plus I love coffee so much it is fun to slather myself in something that smells like it. hahaha
  12. I use a Sunbeam one that I bought about 5 yrs ago. I bought a second one to replace my first one (probably about 2 yrs ago) thinking that I would replace the Sunbeam when it died. I'm still waiting for that to happen! LOL So now I have two stickblenders! The newer one is a Hamilton Beach and has a few extra fancy attachments like a whisk--works great when I am making conditioner! I don't think I paid more than 20 dollars for either one. HTH!
  13. Just did a search, the facebook special is over. There's no reference to it anywhere on the site now.
  14. Try http://soapcalc.net/ I saw your post and panicked for a minute!! LOL I had to go do a search for myself!
  15. AH/RE is the best!!! I've been using it for years and it is my bestseller. The hot/cold throw is amazing. You won't be disappointed!
  16. That is cute! My co-worker would go nuts for that! She loves Mickey Mouse and is even doing her whole kitchen in Mickey Mouse.
  17. I tried using zincs and sat near the candle the whole time while testing. I think it did burn a bit fast, but no wonkiness occurred like crazy high flames or alot of smoking. I do want to use the wick that is recommended though, not just what I have on hand. I hope someone else chimes in about zincs in palm wax.....in the meantime I might have to do a search.
  18. Are you going to use some kind of cutter to make the job of making hangtags any easier? Maybe a scrapbooking punch would work, if nothing else. I have one and it works wonders for my art pendants!
  19. Thanks for sharing that, Barbara! My red is like a brick red too.
  20. I love clear labels! Nice job! You can really see the product plus it looks more upscale.
  21. Those are pretty! I would love to get something like that as a gift. It would be nice to burn a candle for fun instead of for testing purposes.
