I love making candles and someday would love to make it a business. I would love to learn how to make bath and body products.

  1. I use clamshells from CandleScience and I am very happy with them Sharon Kay
  2. Hi Dana, Are you talking about Puma52's post about Caramelized Crimson Pear from NG? That sounds really yummy to me. Sharon Kay
  3. If you printer has a transfers setting it will automatically reverse your image for you. I have a Canon Pro9000 Mark II. If you have the transfer settings be sure and run a test on plain paper before using you transfer just to make sure it reverses it. I hope this helps you, Sharon Kay
  4. Tina J, I love NG's Raspberry Zinger. It smells just like a raspberry zinger, very yummy and strong. My other favorite from them is Hot Orange Danish. I hope this helps you! Sharon Kay
  5. I was looking on CandleScience's webpage this morning and I saw three new fragrances: Candied Apple Cinnamon Chai Coriander and Tonka I will have to check these out, the last one sounds very different. Sharon Kay
  6. Candybee, I know all about CS Caramelized Pralines. It is one of my very favorite fragrance oils ever and I totally understand about drinking it out of the bottle lol...drool... I also love their Caramel Popcorn. I keep waiting for CS to come out with some new fragrances. They ship from Nevada and it only takes one day to get their products here in Central California.
  7. Candybee, do you find that the pecan pie from CS is strong enough? I have a sample and oob it smelled light but maybe when in wax it blossoms. I should put it in wax tomorrow. Thank you!
  8. Thank you Old Glory. I really like their oils. I know you use a lot of their oils, have you used their Monkey Bread and if so do you like it?
  9. Hi everyone, I am looking for a kick butt strong yummy pecan pie fragrance, any suggestions? TIA, SharonKay
  10. Has anyone used P-100 Ultimate Pillar blend Wax from American Soy Organics? Candlesoylutions says that it is a natural votive, pillar, tart blend. I just sent them an email to see if this could be used for making candle melts with clamshells. I looked but did not find any information here on the site. They say this is the Ultimate Pillar Blend- This soy and botanical blend of waxes acts more like a paraffin than any wax on the planet. Wonderful single-pour properties, color-retention, and release from molds without the need of release agents. If you have used it, how did you like it? Thanks In Advance, SharonKay
  11. Belinda I would be in such trouble if I lived so close to so many fragrance oil suppliers. I don't know if my pocket book could handle that lol.
  12. Belinda you are so... lucky being that close. I did order the Leather and Lace. My order comes in tomorrow. I am excited to get some of these oils in wax. I just sent out my first two orders of melts (first paying customers). For years I have gifted my melts and wickless candles to friends and family but people told me that I should start selling them, so I am going to give it a try.
  13. Trappeur, I will do that. I wanted to let you know that I put Sugar Cookie Royale from Flaming Candle in wax today. You are so right, what a lovely fragrance. I also made Peaks Sugar Cookie, they have a completely different fragrance, I really liked both of them. Now the test is to wait about five days and see how the throw is. I also put Olde Towne Bake Shoppe from Peak in wax. Wow what an awesome fragrance. I fell in love with RE (formally Kentucky) Cornbread, smells so yummy while pouring also Cookie Cottage from Peak, it had a wonderful nutty fragrance. Everything I poured today was fantastic!
  14. Oppsey! I made a mistake, I purchased my Chestnuts & Brown Sugar from Texas Candle Supply, not Southwest. The fumes of the candle fragrances must be getting to me lol. They are so nice, I ordered yesterday and they shipped yesterday. Here's the other one's I ordered: Egg Nog Latte Leather and Lace Oatmeal Raisin Pumpkin Cheesecake Richest Vanilla Sugar Cookie Sun Washed Denim I also ordered Pecan Pie but they were out. Jim was so nice to work with, great customer service and they ship USPS. I will let you know how these work with my parasoy blend. I use IGI6006 (75%) and IGI4625 25% for my melts. Sharon
  15. I just placed an order for Chestnuts & Brown Sugar with Southwest Candle Supplies along with eight other fragrances. This is my first time to order from them. I hope I love them because they are closer to California. I will be making melts with a parasoy blend of IGI 6006 and IGI 4625. Sharon
