  1. I know they used to do something like 5-9 bottles = 10% off, 10+ bottles = 15% off. Is this not in effect anymore?
  2. Hi Heather! There is a 'Vegetable Wax' forum toward the top of the board that has lots of info on soy waxes. You'll find answers to questions you didn't even know you had. We all like different waxes for different reasons so your best bet would be to test some for yourself to find out what your preferences are. This page has several starter kits that contain everything you need to give candlemaking a try: http://www.peakcandle.com/category/Candle-Making-Starter-Kits.aspx. The business side should not be explored until you have thoroughly tested your candles for safety and quality and are confident that they are something that a consumer would enjoy safely in their home. Oh yeah, as someone said, expect to drop $$$ on this venture as it is an expensive addiction. Good luck and have fun!
  3. Not exactly what you're looking for, but I have two 5076 Libbey rectangles from Dollar Tree. Edited to say: Crap, sorry, these are the 20 oz.
  4. I use and love SNC's at Aroma Haven.
  5. Love those layered flip flops! Have fun at the wedding!
  6. That looks good, but since it's so big does it make it hard to see out the back while you're driving?
  7. I agree with this. It's happened to me before but I don't sweat it. It gives the look more depth and texture, IMO.
  8. The candles may look nice in person, but IMO they are incorrectly wicked. All of those burning have tall shells and are on their way to bulge. They seem to be burning down too much and not across enough to consume the shell. None of those pictured look like palm to me, so I'm wondering how that green square got that hole. Does soy do that? I use paraffin for pillars and have never had that happen.
  9. Candlewic has it spooled: http://www.candlewic.com/Store/productdiscount.aspx?p=597
  10. I believe this is a dupe: http://www.peakcandle.com/products/Vanilla-Passion-Fragrance-Oil__F1124.aspx
  11. It doesn't look like you swirled the wax in the mold after pouring. Maybe that is the look you are thinking of?
  12. That's super cute! How do you get them to stand up inside the mug?
  13. Cierra carries it... http://www.cierracandles.com/detail.aspx?ID=2029
  14. Candlescience has a wick guide: http://candlescience.com/learning/wick-guide.php
  15. Thanks for the suggestions! Anybody have any more/other ideas? I'm taking notes on all these.
  16. Yes, this FO is scrumpdiddlyumptious. Just don't drink it because you'll be tempted!
  17. At Dollar Tree, they have the white ones in a two pack for $1. One bag is 8" W x 10.5" L, and the other is 10" W x 13" L. HTH
  18. What pretty pillars! I love those blues!
  19. I'm really liking Peak's Tall Grass. It's a scent I never thought I'd like and now I really do!
  20. I pour candles and I have asthma. Fragrance oils have never once given me trouble, although I do wonder about the long term effects of scents in our lungs.
  21. OOB: Peak's Casaba Mist & AH's Badedas. Very close.
  22. Natty, I've tried to wick those status jars (I'm just assuming these are what you're referring to since I saw those on your site), and no matter what wick and/or size I used, the same thing happened to me. I came to the conclusion that as the wax gets low in the jar, there just isn't enough oxygen flow to fuel the fire. So frustrating, I know!
