  1. Is this what you add to your wax to keep you color from fading out when it is out in the elements? I have some electrics I made for myself....and I noticed that the color faded after being out on my tables and that for awhile...especially if they were close to a window. If this is what you use how much per pound do you use. I normally use soy but for these I used paraffin because of the melt point. Thanks!
  2. Very pretty, all of them! The CLV colors are so vibrant and pretty!
  3. Gorgeous!! I love Olive Blossom.....did my mango/shea bars in that scent from BCN's BNL Olive Blossom.....heavenly! You soaps are beautiful!
  4. Looks very natural and refreshing! Very NICE!
  5. I LOVE the colors.....very nice job! It looks like a peanut butter cup.....mmmmmmmm!
  6. Oh man those are some pretty pretty pretty soaps! They would go very nice in my bathroom too! Nice job....the swirls are awesome and so is that color! WTG!!! :highfive:
  7. BEAUTIFUL!! They both are absolutely gorgeous! I love love the layered one!
  8. Got mine crossed for ya!! Can't wait to see pics.....I want to try layers but ..... am a little chicken yet...LOL Good Luck!
  9. I am looking for a simple oatmeal shea CP soap recipe. One that looks very natural when done. Anyone have one they will share?
  10. I used those dyes once..........and because of the PH in the soaping and what have you.....they can change color. My blue is pinkish purple instead of blue. You can use them but they aren't designed for CP and you may get some odd colors.
  11. Mine is through Farmers Insurance.......who we have had all of our insurance through for years. I even told my hubby---NO call Bill back because he must be confused on what it is I want. And he said no he understands what you are doing and what Ins you want. And he (the agent) advised us to carry the $500,000 Product Liability and $500,000 General Liability.
  12. That would be a tough one. I use alot of BCN........but am going to give Peaks and a few others a whirl. Especially Peaks cause I go through Denver all the time and I can call ahead...place my order and pick it all up! Man I don't know that I could limit it to one but if I absolutely had to at this point it would be BCN.
  13. Pretty much all vanillas discolor soap. Which is ok if you like the tanish or brownish natural looking soaps. But if you want white soaps...anything with vanilla probably wouldn't work. Has anyone soaped the Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies? I want to buy it to put in my soy wax....but I bet it would smell pretty good in soap too!
  14. I would like to add a couple Fall/Holiday scents to the B&B line (seasonal)...mainly just in my lotion, body spray and shower gel and some cp soap. Which scents are you guys using or used last year that you are having good luck with that would be fall and christmas types? I have read so many descriptions that my head is spinning! TIA!
  15. I am dying to order their Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies and was wondering about a couple other. Has anyone tried their Honey Shea? Or Brown Sugar Fig? Any other "must haves" for either CP soap, bath & body or soy wax?
  16. Does Soap trace faster if you add your lye/liquid to your oils at a higher temps(both being a higher temp)? Like.....instead of 90-100 you combine at 105-115? Also if you use a water discount does it trace faster? And also if it is warmer when you combine the liq and oils does it tend to gel alot faster also? Ok that was 3 questions instead of a couple...LOL TIA!
  17. Well that is what I am thinking also....but it was explained to our agent in great detail that we needed product liability and general liability and he called us back with this quote. And the agent is who said we needed the $500,000. After I get the policy and can read through it I will call him and see about up'ing that to 1,000,000. But right now we are covered and it is $30 a year added onto our homeowners policy.
  18. Ok.....I had my hubby call our Homeowners Insurance Company yesterday and talk to our agent about adding liability insurance for my bath, body and candles. The quote included Product Liability and General Liability. They seemed to know exactly what we were talking about and he explained that I was making this in my home.....and also needed to be covered if my candle ever burned anyones house down or my bath & body products caused a rash and so on......he was very detailed in his explanation. The agent added $500,000 liability to our homeowners for both product and general (which I think should be higher) for $30 a year. Now this seems totally impossible to me....only $30 a year. CAn't wait to get the policy in my hands and read what I actually have. And also find out what it is going to cost to up that to $1,000,000.00. I have heard horror stories on the cost of liability ins and also that most companies won't insure you....and it is only going to cost me $30 a year?
  19. Does anyone know of a supplier for colored PET type bottles? I have checked Jody's and The Sage and both have some that I am interested in BUT I am looking for Pink, orange, red and a few other colors. Purple, Blue and Green I can find. Are there any suppliers out thier that have more color selections? Thanks for any input you can offer!
  20. we do all 4oz. Did both 8oz and 4oz for awhile but just didn't sell many 8oz so dicontinued them. I think if you carried both sizes and they had their choice they would take the 4 oz.....
  21. Mill Creek has the smaller window bags. I have bought the kraft ones from them....not sure if they have any others.
  22. They both are absolutely gorgeous! I love the Strawberry Rhubarb Fo and couldn't keep it on the shelf this summer in my candles. Never thought of trying it in Soap! And the first one looks absolutely delish!!
  23. I ordered 2 of the samples of Pink Sugar during BCN's 99cent sale. I used it in CP soap and it smells awesome! It turned my soap a light tan but not a real dark brown like some have said.
  24. I made this one...well sorta. I started with this recipe because I thought the idea of apple cider soap sounded really good. But I adjusted it to include, shea butter, castor, beeswax, safflower and coconut for 1/2 of the shortening. It turned out very nice! It has been curing for about 4 weeks and I tried a little sliver and wow...I do like it.
