  1. WOW!! Those look really really nice! I love those colors! Do they smell as good as they look? I really want to buy the FO and try it.
  2. Yep---it has 8 oz of each in the recipe and it is so creamy! Wonderful creamy bubbly lather and leaves your hands so soft and smooth! This is the first time I have used Olive Blossom FO and I think it is a keeper! Can't wait to try it in the shower!
  3. I am not an expert at this but maybe it is your FO? We do a ton of wickless candles and only have that problem or similar with certain FO's. Like NG's Lilac...ZERO hot throw. But then we have a 5oz scented with Grandma's Kitchen from BCN and it has been on the warmer for 2 months (without ever taking it off or shutting the warmer off) and it still smells. Have never had one that threw for a few hours and was done tho. That seems odd.
  4. Thanks Everyone! And yes TLC you can use the color combo. That was my second swirling attempt.....still needs work....LOL But then that is the fun of it.....just keep making soap!
  5. Those are really cute! I like your packaging too!
  6. OMG I haven't heard that in ages!! It's still hilarious! As a matter of fact the first time I heard it I didn't "get it" I am thinking WTH does this have to do with apple cider <duh!> LOL I can be a real ditz at times!
  7. Some soap I did yesterday......it is a shea mango bar and scented with Olive Blossom. I swirled with Jade Green Metallic and a Peach. Used a sliver this morning and it is awesome!! Can't wait till it totally cures!
  8. That makes me feel a little better about it! I will just keep it in the mold longer and watch it.....it is already setting up nicely this morning but seems to be oily on top. I had plastic wrap over the top of it and took that off.....but now seems oily. This recipe I used uses soy wax in it and I really really like it for the cleansing............my boys swear by it for cleaning the grease off their arms and hands after working on their cars. But I thought it was a little drying so wanted to add just a bit more moisturizing to it......adjusting it just a titch with the shea butter really did a number on it....LOL
  9. Well that was my first thought also......and I went back and checked the recipe. And it still came out the same when I punched the numbers in. It has firmed up now and isn't soupy in the middle anymore...still on the soft side but is firmer. I think it will be OK. It just took me by complete suprise because all my other batches have always been firm by morning. And of course I am second guessing myself because I changed the recipe to use more shea in it and to also make a bigger batch.
  10. WOW you were very busy! They all look lovely!
  11. WOW! Very Vibrant! Love the colors....can't wait to see it cut!
  12. I made 2 batches of soap yesterday. One being a mango shea bar and the other is a recipe I have used before. I wanted to change the recipe a bit and add more shea to it to make it a bit more moisturizing. I also wanted to make a 4# batch . I ran it through soap calc to get the lye water ratio and the adjustment on the oils. I ahd also run it through the calculator on MMS to get the percentages. Made the soap........insulated it and left it. I did check it before I went to bed and it did the gel thing. This morning I checked the soap and it is soft....very very soft! Like it didn't set up. Almost soupy in the middle yet. I poured 4 mold soaps with leftovers and they also gelled and set up but not real hard yet but appear to be OK. I have no clue what is going on with it! The outside edges of the log are setting up...will the rest set up? Do I just leave it in the mold for a few weeks till it gets hard enough to cut? Or did something go haywire and it is too soft and won't set up? And if so do I throw it out? This is the first time I have had one that didn't firm up overnight.
  13. Thanks Eugenia...that makes me feel better about these little bars I have laying around here! I see I also posted this under the wrong catagory...should have been under SOAP!
  14. I have a really odd question and it is probably one that would be so obvious to all of you but being a newbie I am not sure. When I make CP soap and pour it into the mold....if have any left I pour it into smaller bar size molds. Well I cover them all with towels so they are well insulated and can do their work gelling. I have noticed occasionally the smaller molds of soap don't do the gel thing. Are these any good if they don't gel? And maybe I should just throw them away? And also sticking them into a warm oven on a cutting board for a bit...would that help. Don't want the mold to melt but if you warmed it to about 150 and turned it off then set them in maybe? TIA for any help answering this!
  15. They look so nice! Very pretty and creamy! I am saving your recipe for future use.......when I become a bit more experienced! Your soaps are always a joy to look at!
  16. Very pretty colors! They look awesome! I love the natural oeatmel one it looks soooooooo creamy! And the liquid soap looks perfect!
  17. Don't forget to add "12 Days of Christmas Sale" in the comments section.....Like I just forgot to do!! I sent them and email and asked them to add it. I ordered a couple of the Pumpkin Pie (I had just ordered a couple) and the cranberry, Autumn Spice and Harvest Moon. Don't have a clue what the last 2 smell like.
  18. I just noticed that BCN closeout fragrances are $4.99 a pound and the pumkin pie is awesome! Not sure about any of the rest tho. Anyone else order any of them and what is good? It is the last day of their "12 Days of Christmas Sale"
  19. I love BCN Closeout pumpkin Pie Special...very strong! And I see that they have ALL of their closeout fragrances for $4.99 a pound till midnight tonight!
  20. I have to stop and remember here but is the file a jpeg? OR am I confused and is it a gif? Anyway one of them won't work in MyLabels.....drove me crazy one day too. I was ready to pull my hair out. Anyway it may be the file type.
  21. Yea what Annie said.......if you unzip them into a file then you can insert them in My Labels. BTW do you like that program? I have and have used it a ton and wish I would of never started........it is very unfriendly to me! I am slowly redoing all my labels in a different program because of the major frustration I have had with this program. Maybe it is just me!
  22. WOW! Impressive swirls!! They turned out great!
