  1. A good true Lilac that works well in B&B and holds well in CP soap. Also need to throw both hot and cold in 70/30 soy blend. Also looking for a good Blackberry Sage that also does all of the above. I have NG's Lilac but it has absolutely no hot throw for me. I have been using MillCreeks Blackberry Sage......and it is ok but looking for a better one.
  2. Very nice!! I love the natural look of it!
  3. Thank You everyone for your input!! Since I only want a few to experiment with (famous last words) I think I will try the seamless!
  4. Well I want to be able to do rustics.....can you do them in the seamless? Also do the seamed ones leave a seam mark on the pillar? And if so how do you get rid of it? Can you tell I have never used a candle mold...only do containers and tarts?
  5. Seamless Candle Molds or the ones with seams. I have never attempted pillars....but want to order a few molds and give it a try. I would think seamless would be better as it leaves no line?
  6. I just went and checked mine in the bathroom (just to make sure).....which I keep refilling with the scent I like. Anyway it has been in use for over a year and no rust anywhere. BUT when I refill I always wash it out before adding the new lotion and liquid soap. So I dunno.....no prob with rust here after over a year of use. I do beleive it would also depend on what is in your lotions or soaps....that could make a huge difference as different ingredients might react differently
  7. I sold a ton of these last year at the Retail Fairs (we even sold them empty so they could fill them themselves OR they could order one with whatever scent from our line that they wanted)...we used black pumps on silver and rusty lids and made 16oz and little 8oz and I had a few 6oz jars we used too. They were a huge hit! For my wholesale customers I started offering a "free" tester with a case of 36 lotions....these being the tester filled with a lotion and they could choose the scent....really encouraged alot of them to buy a case of 36 so they could get a tester! We tied homespun on ours also but tied it up on the pump part and added a hangtag with our info and the scent.
  8. I am pretty sure I bought mine at Indiana Candle Supply.....I would have to run downstairs and look. Anyway it is delish!
  9. I have been trying all afternoon to get to the calculator on the Pryme colors site.......and it won't let me in. Did she change the password and I missed it. Wasfinally going to start working with these this weekend! Anyone know what is up? NEVERMIND....I figured it out.....duh me!
  10. They look great!! The colors are so nice and bright...really showey!
  11. I love your Pumpkin! And the swirls in the other one are amazing! Very nice!
  12. I had run them through the Magic Bullet and made them little little chunkies....then laid them out on a plate and let them dry even more. Then added some to the soap.....which should have been fine but I stick blended it even more and that must of caused it to turn a cranberry color. You can still see tiny specks of cranberry in the soap but would of showed up sooooooooo much better if the soap would of stayed honey colored like I wanted it to. Such drama in soapin!
  13. Why Thank You! Like I said...it turned dark but it was an experiment and next time I will know NOT to stick blend after adding the dried cranberries. We sill stir them in at the end and hopefully then it won't turn a cranberry color. I wanted it to be tan with the specks of cranberry in it. Oh well..will try again!
  14. Well I think you should keep all styles instead of discontinuing them........I like the new style tho. And YES to you who interested....they are very nice molds. The liner peels right off the soap and I just swished it in the sink and washed it off...ready for the next batch!
  15. Hijacking yet again.........how come your pics are big???
  16. Here is mine.......with a batch of cranberry crumble in it. My cranberry crumble turned as dark as the cranberry pieces on the top
  17. Yea cause I think I like this size in the pic! HE said he was working on a 5# and a 9# I think...wondering if this is the 5#?? Inquiring minds NEED to know...LOL
  18. Hey Soapmaker...........what size is the one in the pic?? It looks bigger then mine. I like the split in that one.
  19. You should only be paying Use Tax on the products you are actually using for personal use. Not on all the products you are buying as supplies and then turning around and reselling them in a finished product. Wow that is major taxage going on.....
  20. Well I like strong also...I want to smell like the soap I am using! Ok so I better order 4oz to start.......
  21. I also forgot........I got in some MMS Honey Harvest and haven't CP'd it yet but it smells very very nice OOB also. More Honey scent I think. I am going to try it this weekend.
  22. I want to order some of the higher dollor scents for some of my CP soap.....Like a Few from Scent Works. I have which ones I want to try picked out but my question is.........how much do you use per pound of oils? I am going to give a couple of the MMS ones a try this weekend and they are recommending 1/4 to 1/2 oz per pound. I don't want to order a bunch in as I just want to give them a test drive....so If I ordered 1oz sizes I can expect to do how big of a batch? I know it is a matter of testing to see what works for you...or how strong you want it and all that....I am just looking for an average starting point so I know if I should order 1oz or 4 oz. I prefer to do about 3# test batches. TIA!!
  23. Daystars Honey Shea is stellar!! I ordered the Buttermilk & Honey and the Honey & Shea and i absolutely love the honey and shea. The buttermilk & honey is very very nice OOB but I am still waiting for it to cure in my CP soap...it has an overpowering anise scent to it (that you don't smell OOB) ...but that is starting to mellow out as it is curing. I would highly recommend the Honey Shea!
