  1. I was wondering who has a really great straight cherry scent without strong almond notes. It needs to be lotion safe. Thanks in advance for any help with this!
  2. I don't think that TW's prices are particularly high. But their being OUT OD STOCK for so long is tough sometimes.
  3. I totally agree with SuzieE.
  4. I love SC's the best as well as TW's. I also like Cybilla's sold through brambleberry.
  5. I absolutely LOVE TW's blackberry sage. I can't even order it because they are out of stock! :embarasse I hope that you enjoy it. But if you don't like it, I will gladly buy it from you immedietly.
  6. I have never used paprika, but I have soaped tumeric MANY times with great success. The color is gorgeous and there is no smell from it.
  7. I totally agree with KristinesShower. I list everything. I receive far less redundant emails asking me for ingredients. I also have no returns either based on the contents of my products.
  8. I make Eggnog soap and it sells all year long and even better during the holidays. You need A LOT of stabilizer though. MP soap with Eggnog can discolor to some funky shades. Ask me how I know...:rolleyes2
  9. I am a 10 hour drive from WSP. Shipping is always higher at WSP, but not by much. I purchase a lot from them for two reasons. First, my order gets here in two days. Second, I have never had a single problem with them.
  10. It is bad that this experience happened to you, but good that you posted about this for everyone to see. I hate hearing of bad experiences from suppliers when people spend their hard earned money to get something decent. I only ordered from The Flying Witch one time a couple of years ago. I only liked one scent and the rest were awful. I am glad to hear that they have shut their doors. If you cannot conduct good business, then conduct no business as far as I am concerned.
  11. Exactly! If you put in a decent amount of shea, it is goodbye lather. If you put in too little, how can you really call it a shea butter soap? Now about lotion in soap base.... I always like creamy lather. So I am going to try the lotion for the heck of it.
  12. I generally use SFIC soap base. I have used oatmeal, honey, powdered milks (which happens to be my favorite), vitamin E, herbs, all kinds of exfoliants, etc... Adding oils and/or butters in small quantities makes a very slick and softer bar with practically no lather. Perhaps the base that you are using can handle such a change. I have also added some olive oil and had ZERO lather. LOL! I think that SFIC base is perfect as is. I do love the dry milks in some of my variatations. Did you really add lotion to your MP base? That sounds so interesting and I always pondered doing that, but did your finished soaps get a lot softer?
  13. Nope. When I said that oils and butter "kills" the lather, I meant exactly that. It kills it.
  14. I prefer to keep the creating aspect of the business behind the scenes. I do not want ANYONE knowing of my suppliers or my secrets (because I do have some good ones). I also find it to be quite distracting. I like having my own peaceful time when I make products without people "invading my space" and watching me. JMHO!
  15. I don't add much to MP. I think that butters and oils kill lather. I always say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  16. I purchase from these suppliers regularly. There are a couple that are not on your list. http://www.the-sage.com www.fromnaturewithlove.com www.bayousome.com www.bittercreeknorth.com www.bittercreeksouth.com www.lonestarcandlesupply.com www.naturesgardencandles.com www.peakcandle.com www.sks-bottle.com www.soaperschoice.com www.soapies-supplies.com www.sweetcakes.com www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com www.thescentshack.com www.brambleberry.com www.papermart.com www.tradewindsfragrance.com
  17. I have tried lots of colors and I always come back to Select Shades.
  18. In my opinion the best blueberry on the face of this earth is from SC.
  19. I LOVE Commando from bayousome.com and Masculine Musk from SC's.
  20. AHHHHHHHHHH! I can't order everything! But I wish that I could. Thanks for all the replies.
  21. The two oils that went bad on me, and I mean BAD were Raspberry from Cedarvale and Blackberry from WSP. Neither one were citrus. I would worry about all old oils.
  22. Some very nice suggestions! Now I really have to think.
