  1. Your soap looks super! WTG..............what's next?
  2. I have been wearing Bare Escentuals for close to 8 years now. I have not looked back. I started with base w/ brush at QVC. Most of my collection of little pots have come from Q as todays special values. It lasts forever! Honestly, the shelflife is endless, and a little goes a long way. It has taken me years to (almost) use up my favorite eye liner. One of the great things is that is is non-toxic to babies, if they want to give you one of those open mouthed kisses on the cheek that some are inclined to do. Treat it like a wardrobe, start with the basics and then add the extras. It last so long that it has actually been very inexpensive for me.:yay:
  3. Hi AJ! With mine you have a choice, a little or a lot, whichever you want to take off. There are two grooves and you decide which to use to bevel your soaps. And yes you can shave off tops, bottoms or sides it you want.
  4. I started out using a potato peeler, then bought this one: http://www.kangarooblue.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=91 It is so easy to use, I love it.
  5. Might not be what you envisioned, but they sure look super!
  6. I have a batch that I made last Nov that was kinda rubbery. It did firm up nicely just took a while. The rubbery texture is the only similarities to your soap, just want you to know that it did finally firm up and made a real nice, long lasting bar of soap.
  7. Good Luck! Anywhere near Hiawassee? We're headed that way Sat.
  8. I went back to those too. I use 32 oz of oils for the 9 bar and 64 oz oils for the 18 bar, sometimes with full water and sometimes with a water discount. My finished bars are right at 1 1/4 " thick and weigh close to 5 ozs. With this amount, you can use the boxes, but they will bulge out because of the thickness of the bars. That is why I went back to Dan's Bands, I don't like the smaller (less thick) bars that will fit in the boxes.
  9. I think it's a winner.:highfive: Cute as can be.
  10. My dh loves tea tree/ eucalyptus soap. He says it wakes him up in the morning.
  11. Here are a couple of pics of unbeveled soaps from my kelsei mold. I love my kelsei molds. The soap on the left is from the crockpot and the right is cp.
  12. Great idea, they shoud sell real well for you. Timing is perfect for Father's Day.
  13. This looks like and "emulsified body butter". Maybe if you use this in a search, you will find what you are looking for. I have used them but don't make them. Sorry I can't be more help.
  14. I don't see why not. Coconut with beta carotene added is what everyone uses for those big popcorn machines.
  15. Love the colors, beautiful swirls too.
  16. I have put it in soap after the cook with oatmeal and coconut powder mixed in, never tried it in cp though. I'm really liking it in a new lip balm recipe that I'm trying out.
