  1. They are 7,8,and 9 they thought the inserts were cool to look at but wanted the kind that I make from scratch to bathe with. They are too young to say much more than that. They all have their own soap stash and haven't had problems with dry skin since I started making soap, that may be the reason.
  2. I put rings in a sparkely, heart shaped m&p soap for our gd and she dug them out and would only use my cp soap to bathe with. The boys did the same thing with the reptiles that I put in bars for them. That's the last time I used m&p.
  3. My buttermilk powder is in the fridge and the goat milk powder is in the freezer. I can't remember the shelf life of either.
  4. You can grind it up and use it as confetti in an uncolored batch.
  5. When I used mine, I lined it with clear wrap. Since that kinda defeated the purpose, mine sits on the shelf. I've been thinking about selling it.
  6. I'll second the Bayoulock seals, if you follow their directions, they are leakproof and look professional. I highly recommend them.
  7. MMS has a converter so you can use grams for small amounts.
  8. I make a swirl with mine, leave the rest of the soap natural.
  9. Lotioncrafter sell it, takes paypal, ships quickly and charges actual shipping. Orders usually ship same day or the next, you will get email notifications of order received, shipped and if you are getting a shipping refund because she could ship cheaper than billed too!
  10. Yeah You :highfive: What is the scent? Put a fan on it to cool it off quicker. You will have to tell us how you love using your soap. Congratulations on your first hp soap!
  11. Forgot to say Good Luck with your first batch! You are gonna love it.
  12. The sap value is the same for both oils so I would use it like it was straight sunflower . For the amount you will use in a recipe, it shouldn't make a big difference.
  13. Sorry I put the little guy up there, now that I look at him, I don't like the way it looks. I am such a dummy sometimes when it comes to expressing myself, I apologize. Now, using milk powders, I have had no problems with blending them in with the oils, I have been blessed with a great sb though. With liquid milks, I will use half the water needed for the recipe for the lye solution then add concentrated milk (goat milk from the can) for the rest of the water at trace. This does make a difference in the appearance of the finished bar. Clear as mud???
  14. I haven't had any problems with grainy milk soaps. Could be that ka sb that I crank up to the max to blend it in with though:rockon:. I can tell a difference in the milk and non-milk soaps. I prefer most milk soaps.
  15. Mine are still in air-conditioning, so no sweat here. I've got a feeling that temp and humidity have a lot to do with it. Maybe make a soap sack with a wash cloth?
  16. Thanks for the link, I need some of those too. Did you order from there?
  17. Hi Robin29, no question is a dumb question. We all have to start somewhere. The best oils for you to start out with are definately oils from your local store. Look for good starter recipes that include the oils that you can easily purchase locally. There are some good recipes with those oils on this forum. Make sure you run your recipe through a good lye calculator like soapcalc or mms. Ask away, there are lots of people who love to help.
  18. Love your Fall colors AJ. I have a few ropy swirls too, yours turned out great. Ash happens, if you don't explain it to customers, they just think it is some kind of weird top you put on there.
  19. I have yet to buy one that I don't love from Tony's. Great customer service too. I really appreciate the fos being shipped in amber glass, I'm not a big fan of plastic bottles for fragrances.
  20. They are gorgeous! You did a great job with those.:highfive:
  21. Peppermint eo and Tea Tree eo(anit-fungal) in foot balm will refresh those tired feet.
  22. I'm so glad you got it figured out, it is a great program, I wouldn't want to be with out it.
  23. Go to: http://www.soapmaker.ca/support.htm If you don't find your answer, then email them, they are super people.
