  1. I had to place an order today from NG and got a sample of Tibetan Amber because the description sounds really close. Tibetan Amber: "An NG Original Fragrance! A luxury spa fragrance! An Orient-inspired aroma that relishes the needs of both men and women; Tibetian Amber is a unisex spa scent. This fragrance begins with powdery top notes of lotus blossoms, rose, and jasmine, and follows with Oriental notes of amber, musk, patchouli, and French vanilla bean." They also said I could send them a sample and they would check and see if they have a f/o like it. I will compare it & let you guys know
  2. I don't want it for my hair. I just want the fragrance My cousin works at a salon. I think they have started carrying it. I will call and see if she can swipe me an ounce. Then I'll call a couple of suppliers & mail them a sample. Maybe they would consider having it duped if they don't already have something similar. It doesn't hurt to try. Darbla, If you are a sensual and passionate person by nature, you'll LOVE the fragrance!!!
  3. I checked their website this morning comparing wax prices. Out of the 7 waxes they carry, they only have 1 in stock. And it's pillar wax
  4. When you say greasy , are you talking about the droplets around the edge of the jar? Or does it look greasy in the melt pool? If it's droplets on top near the edge of the jar (and only when its hot or burning) it maybe the f/o. You might be able to search the term "sweating" or "beading".
  5. IMHO (since you asked ) The medium wick looks perfect. It gives you a full melt pool in the correct amount of time. The flame is smaller and the melt pool is not as deep as the large. This will help give your candles a longer burn time. But before I ever make a final judgement, I always like to see how a wick performs & behaves closer to the bottom of the jar. I'm not an expert but I hope I'm of some help. Thank you for sharing your testing.
  6. That sounds great!!! The burns look really good but I'm curious of the flame heights and melt pool at 3 hours since the diameter is 3 inches. I'm wondering if the flame on the large one may get too big.
  7. They look really nice. Great job!!! How big is the diameter of the jars? Did you use f/o?
  8. I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound ugly but.... Why didn't they just place a note on their website that they were moving and would not be able to take orders until further notice or by some certain date? I believe most of us would have completely understood. Why leave their customers hanging? Whether they have new owners or its the same ones, they are giving themselves a bad reputation. It's going to be really hard to repair. Just saying
  9. My DH got an email from UPS at the end of December at work. They were letting businesses know they were having a price increase starting 1/03/11
  10. My favorite is 464. I like the softness and adhesion results I got from it when I tested it by itself and of course it's CT & HT with the F/O I use.
  11. With the wax being 50/50, this would explain why they can market their candles as soy. Thank you for sharing your photos!!!
  12. Those look great!!! I really like the 50/50. It could be just my eyes playing tricks on me but it looks like the 50/50 looks softer. I really like the softer wax look, jmho. What do you think? Can you tell any difference?
  13. Oops!!! Sorry for the stupid question. My internet is down and I'm reading from my phone, lol. I really like your candles!
  14. I love those. That's the look I want. I've been using a 70/30 with 4630. But I want to see if I could get the look I want with blending mottling paraffin. Are those your candles Jokerjen?
  15. I can't wait to see your results. I've placed an order but I thought I would try using mottling paraffin with a mottling additive.
  16. I kind of thought it look like palm. But I really like the way paraffin mottling looks. I like the way these pillars mottle. I think I've seen it in paraffin container candles before.
  17. I started thinking - 'instead of trying to rid soy of frosting in containers, I wish there was an additive that inhanced it and give it that mottling look you see in some paraffins'. I started googling it but the only thing I found was Mottling Max for paraffin candles. I thought about trying it but wanted to ask you guys first if y'all knew of such an additive for soy? While googling I did find a candle company that claims their mottled candles are a soy blend... TIA
  18. Thank you! Yes, it's a fast drying ink to help prevent smearing and it's permanent. Me and six other ladies get together once a month and do Stampin Up. We call it our "Craft Therapy" sessions, lol. We use the Stazon ink instead of our SU inks for our outline images when we want to watercolor or do projects like the coasters.
  19. Oops...:embarasse My bad it seems I did write it down wrong. I apologize. Thank you Ms. Judy for catching my mistake. So, all they did was move??? Did they not let anybody know?
