  1. That looks great! Do you have any trouble with the texture staying fluffy like it is in the picture. I made some sugar scrub once. Whipped it for 2 hours. Fluffy like whipped cream at first, after a few months all condensed into a sugar ball!

nope it stays nice & fluffy...its a lighter sugar scrub, not full of sugar. Even when packed in my jars still comes out light.

  2. the recipe i use to make my bubble bars doesn't use gylcern due to mine NEVER getting hard. So thats what i dotn understand how come soem of use use the recipe i listed above & its rock sold...2 days later its still a mess and im peeved about waste. grrr I know how to make them other ways but i just wanted to make them this way since some say it can be done- im stubburn:rolleyes2

  3. ok first of all i use a recipe for my bubble bars and they turn out great, i had to come up w/ one on my own becasue the one that everyone else uses...well i fail every time! I make fabulous bath bombs too so this is ticking me off...I tried once again because I am ticked others can do it and I cant kwim??? So i tried yesterday this recipe:

    1 cup baking soda

    1 cup SLS

    1/3 cup liquid glycerin

1/3 Cup Cream of Tartar (or corn starch)

    Fragrance and color

and the same thing that always happens to me happened again...it doesn't dry...its still crumbely & i guess moist but not really i say that beacuse in a few days it will just get gross. so its in its mold for/ log and i cant cut it and its to fragile to move...it will just fall apart. ugh. no matter how many times i adjust this recipe or follow it exact its the same. what can i do now that i have wasted ingredients once again.

  4. You need to establish what your minimums will be--either units or dollars, or both. In order to sell to them without charging them sales tax you will need to have a copy of their tax ID on file.

    PRICING:

For example, in order to get wholesale pricing you must make $150 minimum purchase.

Determine what your pricing structure will be. Will you offer discounts for large volume orders?

What type of payments will you accept? Many companies only accept pre-paid credit card orders for the first three orders. After that some offer credit, others will accept checks.

What type of shipping will you offer?

    UNITS:

If you sell shower gel, as an example, you might sell it my the case (determine what amount will comprise a case--12 bottles, 24 bottles?) in one scent only, or you might allow them to mix and match their scents to equal one case.

    LABELS:

What will you supply as far as labels go? Do they have to use your standard label, changing only the company name on the label, or can they supply you with artwork to create a new label? If they do that, will you assess a "set up" fee?

Will you have an additional charge per label, or will you hide it in the cost of the product?

Those are just a few quick things I thought of.

Here are a couple of more:

What kind of time frame can they expect their order?

    One more...NO COD's.

thanks:yay: although in oregon we dont have sales tax so not sure about that part. THANK YOU

  5. I use the clear ones. I am wondering about the cello bag packaging, doen't it get all over the bag and make it look tattered and smeared in the bag? I know a few people who use the tins with out a problem. They never seem to have rusted.

na her lotion/massage bars are firmer and not messy...however i dont like the packaging.
