  1. Gap Earth type from Aroma Haven- I Love this!!. WSP has a good Dirt too. SOS has "Earth."
  2. Also, -Scent Works has "hot spiced cocoa." -Soap Silly has "christmas in mexico." -I have a "dulce mexicano" from Natures Cauldron that has the chilie pepper to it as well, but I don't think Daystar is stocking that one yet. -Royal Aromatics has "dusty mexican morning" (chocolate, cinn + chilies). -CandleChem has "mexican cocoa." HTH :smiley2:
  3. Theres lots of good places for bases and loads of threads talking about it. Many well formulated lotion bases meant for the body can be used on the face as well. You would probably want to avoid anything with a high percentage of cocoa butter or coconut oil though as those can clog pores. Some of my favorite places to get bases from are http://www.denhamsnatural.com/index.html (great stuff) , http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/cosmetic-bases-cosmetic-bases-c-3_67.html , http://www.tclaboratories.com/ , http://www.essentialwholesale.com/ (some specifically for the face and sample sizes available) , http://www.soapersworkshop.com/store/ (I personally have not tried but many love the bases- Shes closed right now though) , http://www.thecandlemakersstore.com/c=4Eq4SA8RhZlws98QWM20lxQRe/category/premixed_bases/ I hope you find something you like!
  4. All of the FO I have tried from then seem to be really good quality and very strong. I have tried about 15 from the A grade line, so I dont know about the B grade.
  5. I have tried a few of these and to me the BC one is much different than the others. Has a much sweeter scent than the others that I really love. SW is a Fresh type dupe. Its much more citrusy than the BC one. The FOH one is bamboo sugar cane and is good too- Its a lighter more floral/herbal/citrus blend. HTH
  6. Cool idea, I will have to see if I can find one on sale! I'm sick of using cut zip bags or syringes.
  7. I made one for my BF's sister to prevent stretch marks and help with itching. She wanted more of an oil than a butter for some reason. This is what was in it: Pregnant Tummy Oil Ingredients: meadowfoam seed & camellia seed oils, natural cocoa butter, emu & avocado oils, unrefined shea butter, organic calendula infused sunflower oil, wheat germ oil, vitamin E acetate, aloe extract (in canola oil); virgin coconut, jojoba & seabuckthorn berry oils; tangerine essential oil, dimethicone. I did a bunch of research before hand to make sure each one was safe for pregnancy. Tangerine EO was one of the only EO's I found information on that always said it was safe. I found conflicting information on lavender, etc. I had wanted to do a more balm style product with butters and beeswax to make it more long lasting but she wanted the oil and even requested a second bottle of it with no changes. No stretch marks as of yet and shes only got a little more than a month left. For the itching you could try making a diaper rash type balm with zinc oxide maybe? Allantoin's very skin soothing but you would have to check if it was safe for pregnancy first- that in a goat milk body butter w/ oat proteins sounds soothing. And of course congrats!!
  8. Love the one from flickers but tonys is great too!
  9. I agree, I didnt likethe one from FBD either. The SW Baby grace is great though!! I was not impressed with most of the other samples I have from FBD either.
  10. Other good sources for EO's are new directions aromatics, liberty natural, and camden grey.
  11. I don't see how this could be a problem? Any water on the outside remaining after use will just evaporate- as long as it is on a well draining surface (like one of those metal wire soap dishes). But you could always add a preservative (suitable for anhydrous products) to be safe if it really bothers you that much .
  12. If you go on www.luckyscent.com you can see the actual perfume its a dupe of. I only have the one from DS but it does smell nice! HTH
  13. I always add extra preservative to mine to make up for the added water I'm adding. I think people forget about that, but the showergel is usually only preserved enough to assume it is being used straight- adding all that extra water opens it up to growing beasties IMO.
  14. I have also read of people melting colored jojoba beads into the mix, but I have not personally tried it.
  15. Me too - I want to buy some just because I liked its smell so much in a lotion I bought. It fades away after a while though
  16. yep, I was going to say pumpkin too. I have read that its supposed to attract them to you, that and baby powder I think. I also recall Cinnamon buns and donuts being high on the list but I could be wrong. :laugh2:about the stripper line- I have an acquaintance say that about the vanillas I wear when ever i see him. Years ago I wore EA True Love and my friend would tease me that I smelled like a "French whore." I guess its better than someone saying you smell like BO or something
  17. From the closeout line I like harvest moon, pumpkin pie, sugar & spice and indonesian cinnamon for fall scents.
  18. That Joyeux noel sounds yummy!! I would order from them again if they ever decided to list there darn flash points! But I do like how the samples are so cheap that you can afford to get a bunch. Which is good because they are kind of hit or miss in my opinion.
  19. Its what I use and have never had any problem either.
  20. That special was in the BCS newsletter, so I don't think it applies to BCN.
  21. Wsp's "Bismuth Oxychloride Paste" claims that it will work in all bases not just suspending. I have some but don't recall using it yet. Sorry I was ot more help.
  22. Yep, another vote for this- It smells just like real honey!!
  23. So it sounds like you already have: A citrus- Citrus blend A foody type- honey/almond An aromatherapy type- Lavender Vanilla So maybe add: A clean/fresh/water/spa type scent Everyone loves pink sugar!! A floral type scent- A tropical scent - Probably just seasonaly though A fruity scent- I love pomegranate! maybe another bakery or spicy type I love chocolate scents but have found that some just dont like the idea of rubbing brown goo all over themselves!!
  24. Not a fan of blue sugar (I went to sephora and had a sniff- hate the licorice notes!!!) But am curious as to what the BCN sale is? I can't find a copy of my newsletter and its not posted in there forum
