Think I'll add that to my hurricane instructions that I place in them now, Cool idea!

I use masking tape on my 2 piece molds and then the plastic clips and stand no leaks and keeps the water out when I have to do a water bath.

Gen Wax carries both of the waxes that your looking for.

I use it and have never had a problem with it. I like it because I get a more tranlucent hurricane with it. Once you place your order it will usually ship the same day depending on when they receive your order or the next day if you order in the afternoon. HTH

I like the idea of having a scent called either puppies breath or puppy love. IMO puppies still have fresh breath it just get funky as they get older As for the scent to use I would blend Peaks Rose Bouquet and Baby Powder. I have blended these 2 and people like it. You get the Rose scent with the undertone of the baby powder so you get the feeling of being in a rose garden holding a sweet smelling baby (or puppy in this case) JMHO Reese

The vase is unscented and they want to use it to put real or silk flowers in it.

Well here's the vase that I made using my dipping vat. Hope my customer likes it. The 2 chunks next to it are scented flower shop. The vase is 16" tall and 6" wide.

I use a mold cleaner and paper towels. I'm with Trish when I use a heat gun always burn my hands. The cleaner that I use removes wax and fragrance smells from the molds and I also use it in my pouring pots to clean them.

This is a hurricane that I did for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The photo of the deputy worked with my husband for a couple of years before transfering to the gang unit. He was shot and killed last month by a gang member. When ever we have a member of our family in the Sheriffs Department killed I have made a hurricane for the station that they were assigned to and everytime I make another it breaks my heart a little more. Let's hope I don't have to do another one of these again.

LOL Been there done that

After racking my brain (which is a chore for me ) I called pourette and placed the order. Should have them by the 17th of Aug, and yes I'll have to come up with something for the water bath. I didn't measure it but I have a big aluminum tub (used to be used for ice & beer ) that I use at the shop and it might be long enough for the 24" but I know the 12" will fit so that one is not a problem. My customer called me back later and now he wants me to make a huge vase type hurricane using my dipping vat, this should be fun. Thanks for all your help and if you think of anything else let me know. Once I get the vase hurricane done I'll post a pic (only if it turns out LOL) Thanks again.

I just had someone ask me to make a hurricane that would be 24" in length and 6" wide and 6" deep. Then they wanted on 12" in length 6" wide 6" deep. Short of having special molds made how would this be done? If this can be done they want to order this type of hurricane all of the time. Any suggestions?

I have a customer who buys my Summer Lawn fragrance and she swears by it says that it covers up all her pet odor's.

How about blackberry merlot?

I have a 80lb water jacket melter. It is split to hold 40lbs on each side, right now I have container wax on one side and 1343 on the other. It does take longer to heat so if I don't have a big order to fill don't use it. Use my presto pot's for smaller orders. Looking into getting direct heat melter to save time. IMO i would go for the direct heat one for faster melting times.
