  1. Ok, so not a serious craft but I'm so happy with how they turned out and I just wanted so show someone. Lol the little purses hold Target gift cards for my daughters.
  2. I can't help you in the least will gel but I just have to say I love the candle!!!
  3. I blend it 75/25 with container wax and it works wonderfully - except in scnetsy warmers....I am playing with the mix to try and get it a bit softer so it melts in that warmer, too. I have tested in tea-light, electric and bulb warmers with higher than 25W bulbs. All are great. I don't use vybar.
  4. I feel like the Emperor...I still see it upside down. Am I the only one? Anyway, beautiful soap!
  5. I do like the tumblers, but your pillars are beautiful! Could it be that the tumblers are not colored? I think they are pretty uncolored, but the pillars steal the spotlight!
  6. Sorry I can't help you, but it does sound decadent!
  7. two very different candles and both are beautiful! I'm not familiar with the wax, but I find most of my 3" pillars burn well with 3/0 square braid. I'm partial to the square because I make square and octagonal rustic pillars...just my preference.
  8. they DID turn out great. What did you do different this time?
  9. It didn't turn out exactly like I pictured it, but it can only get better from here. Scented peppermint.
  10. Nothing distorted there - you captured the elements beautifully!
  11. no, the mineral oil just adds oil - just like fragrance oil - it brings out the mottle. I missed the part where you said you hadn't scented them.
  12. LOL Well, just be thankful you have the space to stash the furniture! Happy Thanksgiving. I look forward to your updates.
  13. did you warm your molds? I also put a cardboard box upside down on the molds so they cool slower. But, truthfully, I have very seldom gotten a mottle that I was happy with. :undecided
  14. Bet mine is right up there with the ugly....that's why it was cheap! lol
  15. no, it's not defective. It is only a 25 W bulb... I'm not fond of the square corners, either. I use a blend, but it is more paraffin than soy and I think I just need to play with the percentages.
  16. I have had people confuse me with Scentsy but never ask if my melts work in their melters. I test in electric, tealight and light bulb warmers so I figured I better get a Scentsy warmer, too. I got a cheap one off ebay and put my melts in. Low and behold, it only melted a little in the center! Today at a craft show I had TWO different people ask if my melts work in a Scentsy warmer. I had to tell them no. I may have lost 2 sales today, but I didn't have permanently disappointed customers. I will be working on my formula and hopefully can get melts I like that actually work in their warmer.
  17. If it's paraffin, years. (can't be more exact than that) I have had soy get a funky smell to it after a couple of years and tossed it.
  18. That's what I did. I only use bakery scents in my loaf pans and ended up wicking up. I don't use HTP but I'd start with the 73. I also made a paper template of the bottom of the loaf pan and figured the center of each side and punched a hole. I lay the template in the loaf pan and make a dot with a marker where each wick goes.
  19. I print on full sheet labels and cut to size
  20. I got a heavy duty 2x4 x6' shelving unit but built it side by side so I have (2) 2x4 x3' work tables with shelves underneath. I used to work at a sign company and got .020 polycarbonate to cover it. Wax scrapes right off. I have Kmart shoe racks on top that hold my prestos and little shelves for dye and "stuff". I have pics somewhere.... found it! http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?98983-All-cleaned-up&highlight=clean
  21. I have the ones that Peak has (didn't get them from them, but they are the same). I center the wick, pull it taut and clip a small binder clip on the wick. Centered and straight.
  22. I sell warmers, small packs of unscented tealights, and wick trimmers.
  23. Very nice - but totally trademark infringement
  24. any old wick will do. I save short scraps of wick and use them.
