  1. So i seriously have not gotten the hang of posting pics
  2. I use a carrot sharpener, works like a dream.. got mine from Here http://shop.brylanehome.com/product-123/7810/41089/1.htm edited to add that i save all the shavings for a brightly colored confetti soap!
  3. I had a real proactive one a few monhts ago.. Thought he way "just a guy" he sent me flowers when i was sick.. then he asked me.. if he sent a check for $10100.00, could i cash it for him, i when i said i didn't have a checking acct, he got real aggressive, and talking about how i could keep half, if i could just send him some money so he could get back to the US.. LMAO, gotta love their techniques. lol
  4. Alot will depend on the "pet Odor" formula you are using.. if you are using fragrances to cover up and such
  5. Candlewic sells molds for these under the term "buttons" hearts are also available.. http://www.candlewic.com/store/Product.aspx?q=cPolyurethane,p285
  6. Having Been doing Shows for 13 years now, I can tell you that the "no food or beverage" is a major no-no. Considering that many vendors work by themselves, one cannot leave there booths without sacraficing sales. As far as having a hotel resturant. You are now asking vendors to shell out more of their hard earned money. Many people have specially dietarty conditions (i'm a "no-carber") and i can't expect that a hotel resturant could provide me with the correct way of food prep. That being said, What i expect from a show, is a promotor who is reasonable and looks to grow, not someone who is just out to make a quick buck. How well your show preforms is a direct refection on you, not your vendors. I expect the promotor to be available at all times to deal with any problems that arise. From electricty problems to other vendors intuding in space. I expect a promoter to be aware of surrounding conditions, and alert vendors to it, and above all, i expect a promoter to understand who they are working for. The vendor, without vendors you have no show, listen to them and their concerns, when you see a pattern, strive to correct it.
  7. Natures Garden has an exact dulpicate. Works great in Candles and in CP soap.
  8. Hey, i'm a bit confused as to what your actual question is.. could you clarify, such as what type of gel candles you are interested in
  9. Alot of people are moving away from candles and going to tarts, because of the availablity of the electric tart melters. So many offices do not allow the burning of candles, so tarts are a good alternate. Even with the candle warmers out there, it takes so long for a standard apothecary (16 oz) to melt, that smaller tarts are much easier.
  10. Paper cups.. available at costo and sam's.. may have to double up.. pour from the pitcher into the cup, and then into the jar, you can bend the cup to form a "spout".. HTH
  11. Sweet strawberry, from WSP, never thought i would replace my previous strawberry, but this is definatly THE ONE.
  12. I mix 50/50 156 parrafin and hd gel wax. pour into a container and let cool. Use a pair of kitchen sissors and cut into pieces, you will be able to get different angles and such that will give the look of real ice cubes. I have also used the gel straight from the box, just cutting it at different rough angles.. depends on the look you are going for. HTH
  13. I have used the plastic shoe box containers in the past. ACMOORE has them on sale for 3/$1 frequently. spritz with Pam and soap away. I've lost a very few due to the heat ( and frequent use) but easier to throw away a 33 cent container than battle my Kelsie mold sometimes.. LOL
