  1. Those are beautiful. I love them all and the desert scenes are great.
  2. Those are gorgeous, very pretty.
  3. Again, thank you everyone for your comments. I am on the board as much as I can be. Working full time doesn't give me a lot of time to spend on here and I do sneek on at work. I don't post a lot, only when I think I have something to say. I definately read a lot of the posts and am so inspired by all that I read and see. This board has helped me so much and I hope that I can give back to it someday as much as I have gotten. :grin2:
  4. Ditto. I love my Presto and use the pour pots for color and FO. Before I took making candles seriously my SO would help. He would do everything in the Presto so all we had around the house was one color and one fragrance. Me, I like variety.
  5. There service is good so are their waxes. I have had no problems when I ordered from them.
  6. Did you get to go inside of GC? I work with a distributor and they just had their convention. I asked if she got to tour the factory and said no that it was top secret.
  7. Hawaiian Sun, I sure wish that I could bring you supplies when we go to Maui next year, don't know if the SO will let me leave his clothes behind. Better yet, I could leave his golf clubs at home. Hum, now there is an idea:o
  8. I have used them a couple of times and had no problems. I received my shipment in 3 days. I have ordered tins from the Seattle area also, UPS on the shipping and it was only 3 days also. Were are you located? I am in Central California.
  9. ditto, ditto, ditto. You go girl. Give that brainless worker a what for and tell her to get her nose out of the air. She must be suffering from lack of oxygen.
  10. I just wanted to say thank you everyone for your comments. They are appreciated. The scent is Ocean as I was trying to make the candle look like the ocean, a place I love to be at. You are a great group and I am happy to be a member of this board.
  11. OK, these are the last for today. The squares are Asian Sandalwood and the octognal is Black Cherry, just experimenting with the mold. I gave a tilted layered to a friend for this birthday on Friday and my wonderful SO told him that my candles are a work of art. That really made me feel good. Here it is and I am off to play golf in 103 temp. I know, crazy, but next to candles and my granddaughter, golf is a passion. Black Cherry and Sandalwood2.bmp
  12. I made this one recently and was experimenting. The fragrance is Tequilla Sunrise and the chili embed bled a little. First time for a square mold, also. They seem to be a little difficult to get out.
  13. Here is one I made a couple of weeks ago. I have been having problems getting the pic small enough in size to post. Thanks to Robin I know now how to do it.
  14. Callas are my favorite flower and those are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
  15. Donita, Your 'canes are so beautiful, you are a very talented lady. I read your post regarding the paper, but want to get it straight. You are adhearing your dried arrangement to the paper and then embedding in the candle? Is that correct? When you have this perfected, which I think you already do, maybe you could post how you are doing it. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work.
  16. I too would like to be a fly on the wall. I would love it if you would be so kind as to do a post on how you do your layers. I have read in previous ones that you use a spoon, but not exactly sure of the technique. Maybe it is just God given talent, your layers are beautiful.
  17. We are supposed to be in for a cooling trend, hovering near 100. I pour in my garage and it gets really hot out there. Our air conditioner is right outside the garage back door and it is running all the time. If I open that door up, it gets even hotter. After I pour and let it set up for awhile and then bring in the house. I do like the summer though, can't stand being cold. I don't know how you snow people do it.
  18. I think they look great. Love the idea.
  19. Both look great. Very pretty.
  20. That is soooooooooo pretty. Love the colors, nice and cool.
  21. Here is another one that I made this weekend. It is scented Cabernet Grape and I lined the inside of the mold with corks. Not sure if I ever want to burn it but thought it looked nice.
  22. I have been a member of this board for awhile and have never posted any pictures. I always love looking at everyone else's and they have inspired me beyond words. Today I thought I would try adding a couple of pictures. This one is Peppermint Kiss. My SO loves the smell and says he would rather eat it than burn it in a candle. He is just too cute.
  23. I have been using the J300, really liked the scent throw and hardly any wet spots. I got a free sample of a blended wax called APOP, supposed to be the best of J50 & J223 put together. I have made and burned one candle so far and am liking it very much.
