  1. Yeah, I hear ya on the font, I've changed it a gazillion times- I have to have some kind of color in there cuz I'm so not a back & white person, lol. Like I said maybe I'm just looking at it too much but it just seems to be missing something-maybe if I used a colored label?
  2. well here it is bigger & without color-grrrr but thats the jist of it. I'm just not sure if it is too simple or not..:undecided
  3. Not sure if I have been staring at this too long or not, but it is beginning to seem to blah & boring to me, opinions anyone?
  4. I am addicted to Lovespell and have tried it from a few different places. Last weekend I was at the mall and happened to pass by VS so I decided to go smell the "real deal".......ack I did not like it at all!!!!!:embarasse
  5. The Original Moisturizing Hand & Body Lotion Base.... I didn't care for that, it was too thin and watery for me Whipped Body Frosting...... I did like this, was a thicker lotion-just the right consistency.
  6. Texasbrat those pens are really kewl!:highfive:
  7. Ok dammit I got it to work!!! I just had to play around with the settings and put it on other specialty paper. Grr that online support lady threw me in panic mode for nothing, lol. Thanks for all the tips, they really did help!!
  8. LOL-no, no, no cuz then I can't return it!! This printer seems to be more geared up for photo printing-which is useless for me, sometimes change is not good- I'm going back to my same ol' same ol' printer dammit.
  9. sighhhhhh.. yep I've tried all the different settings, I was just chatting with online support who informed me that the printer does not support vinyl labels, grrrrrrrr.
  10. The labels worked fine on my other printer (which was ink-jet) so I'm assuming they are the ink-jet labels. Is there a difference between ink-jet and desk-jet printers? I have tried the different settings for print quality, nothing worked- I thought fast draft might work (prints using least amount of ink) but nope still blurry.
  11. Talk about aggrevation!! I know there is a simple solution for this but I seem to be dense today.:embarasse I have a new printer and I went to print out some vinyl labels and it prints blurry-like a big ol blobs of ink. Prints fine on regular paper, so I assume it's something to do with the settings? Has anyone had this happen also? It's a HP Deskjet 6980. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
  12. When I ran out of Citric Acid and was too impatient to wait for an order I used the Fruit Fresh-or Fresh Fruit can't remember the name- and have found it at WalMart in the canning section, for bath bombs and it works. It's more expensive then buying online though.
  13. Is there anywhere to get this locally? I get my lye at Lowes and was hoping since I only need a little that I could find it somewhere local as well.
  14. So this soap won't get hard, it will stay like that? I've seen whipped soap but that hardens up, oh boy I need some of that if it stays soft!
  15. I've tried this but when I layer the soap it always pushes the colored part to the side so I pathetic swirls.
  16. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16906552/ Thought this was an interesting story, the first I have ever heard of this.
  17. Well I have a couple of bottles of a lotion that I made 3 or 4 months ago that I let sit to see how it ages, I use them once in a while on my hands. Haven't checked it in awhile but this thread reminded me, so I just checked them and what do u know- not only does it have a icky smell but I also saw some mold.
  18. Ok so I don't think I'll try this one again. I made some on Sunday and have been using it since. This morning I noticed the scent has faded but there's a different odor to it, also my hands felt dry and itchy for the first time since I have been using it.
  19. Oh great why do I always seem to do things ass backwards, that's just what I've been doing, adding them separately to the soap. Let's say the chart says 1/4 tsp, then I add 1/2 tsp (for a 2lb batch). Geez I wonder what else I'm not doing right.
  20. That's what I thought to myself at first CB but I just have to think and think until I make a mountain out of a molehill- a looney trait, lol.
  21. Let's see if I can confuse anyone. I've been using select shades for coloring (CP soap) and always use the mixing chart. I usually make 2lb batches of soap so when I decide on what color and the shade of the color I go by 2lbs. Now when I do swirls (attempt to I should say) I always pour some of the soap in a seperate container and then mix the color. Am I doing this wrong and using way to much color as I am not coloring the whole batch? Am I even making any sense? Or am I just looney?
  22. Yup yup it's just for me, myself, & I. Thanks.
