  1. Thanks for doing this coop Beth. You do realize that if these things sell we will be on your case to do another coop. LOL
  2. Be sure to have a BIG pot of cold water handy. Tried them last yr and just couldn't get a decent looking jack-o-latern hurricane. And buy good ballons.
  3. Donita, sorry the tip I forgot was about the paper. I went through a spell where I couldn't get these things to work. Durty Nell told me to use HP 24# bright white paper. It was like someone flipped a light switch. All of a sudden they started coming out right. When I print out the picture I go to properties on the printer and change the setup to HP bright White paper and Best quality. I like the ivory chop sticks. Allows me to apply pressure the entire height of the pic and squeeze the air out between the picture and the mold. I start in the center and squeeze to the sides. Take a break and order some Chinese take out. Just tell them you want some chop sticks with the order. HTH
  4. Rob, who could forget your shampoo bottle creation? I still laugh when I think about it. Talk about creative use of household items for candlemaking.
  5. Good idea mr. murray. Another mold to buy. I tried making cucumber slices but they didn't turn out. May try a darker green for the fill wax. In the pic it looks white but is really a very light green. Did two 3 hr burns today with the herbal green tea. Small mushroom on the 2nd burn, small hang up in 2 of the 4 corners. Looking good so far. Think it will all catch up on the next burn. Would like to do these in 8 scents. Need 2 more bakery scents and 2 holiday scents. Thinking about warm apple pie, blueberry muffin, home for the holidays and spruce christmas tree.
  6. Another awesome wedding cake. You are definitely a wax artist. If I make it to 50 yrs with my DH I'm ordering one from you. We've made it 36 yrs so far. How in the world do you ship something like that?
  7. I could study this picture for hours and still never figure out how you did it. Awesome effect. How is the cold throw on that scent combo?
  8. Another great 'dink'. Can't wait to see what you come up with when you are serious.
  9. Lovely. The perfect pillar for their special day.
  10. Check out your local office supply store. They should have a sales receipt book for less than $2.
  11. You've done it! And wasn't it fun. With wick pins votives aren't bad. At least until you try to incorporate some of the pillar techniques. Haven't smelled High Maintenance. Can't wait to get yours to check it out. I'm still trying to figure out what scent to make.
  12. I dipped pine cones in Sugar Plum Berry last Xmas. Awesome cold throw. Want to try it in some votive this winter.
  13. Looks pretty special to me. See you got the seafoam color. The light house is my favorite.
  14. Like the blended look you got. Love sweet pea FO.
  15. You could try WalMart or Michaels. Know Walmart has flower decals. Don't know if they have wedding rings or not.
  16. Sherie has it right. The eggs are suppose to be melon balls. Guess I have to work on my ball technique too. Poured some melon colored wax in a small pan and used my melon baller thing. Trying to figure out how to grind up the brown wax for the snickerdoodle. Tried a hand grater but need finer pieces. I hope 1 wick works. These testers have a low smoke 21 zinc wick. It worked in the 8 oz round tins. Can't stand the wait so will probably start testing today. The herbal green tea is my favorite. Thanks for the kind comments.
  17. Paulette posted a how to on the old gallery. Here is the link. http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=gallery;action=display;num=1106608205;start=0#0 As you can see the socket has prongs that hold it in place. Guess you could use a heat gun to melt the prongs into the wax. I used a small round cookie to make the hole in the bottom of the cane as soon as I poured out the wax.
  18. If you are worried about it you could always hit the tops with your heat gun after putting in the tabbed wicks.
  19. Here they are with the lids. Thought I needed to decorate the tops since the lids are clear.
  20. I made up my 1st set of the 8 oz sq. tins with clear lids. Scented Cuke & Melon, Ocean Breeze, Herbal Green Tea and Snickerdoodle. Tried to make cinnamon grains for the snickerdoodle out of cinnamon scented brown wax. Still have to work on that. LOL All are a mix of Peaks FO except C&M which I used straight out of the bottle.
  21. Your DW did a great job on the chinky. Love the shade of pink you got.
  22. Looks just like the scent. Great job.
  23. Neat looking candle. Another mold I need to buy.
