  1. For me it depends on how soon I pour the next layer whether I get jump lines.
  2. I have never up the temp when doing layers, I just have to be diligent about when I pour each one otherwise I have gotten splits.
  3. Oh shoot!!!! I love my 1343!!!! I had a supplier do the same thing with their own formulations and the wax ended up not being consistent. OYE! Ok will have to trust and see I guess.
  4. LOL I agree Bruce, and am actually loving this conversation. It's really interesting to finally understand the technical stuff that I often would blow a brain gasket if I thought too much about.
  5. Have you tried the freezer method? From what I understand though beeswax is sometimes hard to get out of molds. Try maybe posting under the vege wax forum, some may know better there.
  6. I've often wondered myself since I tend to do the same candles. I think a long time ago there was a thread on CT about this question. It came down to yes charging more, say up to $2 a pillar more. Dont have any clue if that helps but yes you should charge more if its more labor intensive.
  7. I have some of those tealight thingys and havent tried using them yet. Is the wax you use hurricane wax? I'm just curious if the tealight gets too hot around the wax and melts it at all.
  8. Have both of those scents as a matter of fact. Cant remember where I got them.

  12. Oh I have a blast when I go to their warehouse. I get most of my molds and wicks from Genwax. That's about all that I really like from them.
  13. I tried their waxes because they are so much cheaper for me being in Cali but to be honest I didnt like them and went back to 1343. Some much more consistent in my testing then the wax Genwax carries.
