  1. You better get your facts straight Steve!!! But thanks for posting, along with everything that I've forwarded to paypal and BBB, I'll also be forwarding this. I didn't post any of your personal info, I didn't rejoin any forum with a new name and none of your pathetic allegations. Get a life and stay out of mine!! PERIOD!! BTW - Nothing you've said or done has been polite! Quite the opposite!! And I still want my money back!!
  2. Thanks everyone! And thank you for his info. You guys are amazing! Right now I'm just going to leave it all alone and see what happens through paypal. However, I did file a complaint with BBB after the last email, last nite. I'll keep you informed about what happens. :tiptoe:
  3. Wow this guy is flipping out with the numerous emails I've recieved from him. He's threatening and harrassing me in emails. Where should I report this? This guy is sick. He's emails are at least one to two pages long. The last one I got was all in CAPS. Unbelieveable! He is so angry that I filed a complaint with paypal. And to think, I just wanted to cancel my order because they never emailed me back letting me know the status of my shipment. It's pretty scary too! This SOB has my address, name and phone number. Geez I thought paypal would not let things get out of hand like this. He's talking about identity theft, internet fraud, liars, thiefs, death threats and drug makers. WTF!?! You talk about rage. He's crazy. Warning to anybody filing a complaint with paypal. It might send the party you complained about over the edge. I want to send copies of all his emails to paypal but I can't figure out how in the hell to do it. It was hard enough just to get the complaint in there. I'll be calling them tomorrow for sure about this. Is there a place on the internet where you can file complaints about this company and this sick man?? Should I contact my local police dept.??
  4. I just want to let other people know about the bad customer service from Summer Bee Meadow. I located them from the Lye supplier thread in the B&B section. So, I thought I'd try them because they have the lye and a few other oils I use. Placed order on 2/28 (knowing I was running low on oils). After not hearing anything for a week I sent them an email asking for the status of my order. In the mean time I noticed another complaint about them at the Dish. This got my curosity up more about them, since I've never ordered from them before. After discussing with another person what they were going through with them, and finding out they sell on ebay, I sent them another email 2 days later just asking about the status of my order. I heard nothing. I wanted to call them just to find out about my order but was not able to obtain a phone number for the company on their website. So, this morning I found out this other person who was having trouble with them canceled her order, was able to get her money back, and got a nasty email from them calling her a name and some other crap. At this point, I thought, I'm not going to do business with a company like that. Not replying to my emails, no phone number listed, some negative feedback on ebay and hearing about the nasty emails this company sends to people when they complain, and them not replying after my 3rd email requesting my money back and wanting my order canceled. So I followed through with a complaint with paypal just asking to cancel my order and send my money back. I filed this today. Then tonite, I finally get an email from the company which was very rude, unprofessional and the guy sounding like a big jerk. He refuses to cancel my order and says he will still send it out and not refund my money. However, at this point, I don't want to do business with a friggin company like that. This guy is a real jerk. He doesn't deserve my business or anyone else's for that matter. I called paypal and they can't do anything unless I don't get the order. But right now it's just the whole point of the thing. What's the big deal, just cancel my order and send my money back. He said in the email that my order has not been sent out yet. Hopefully I'll never have to deal with another company like this in this industry. I also just ordered what I needed from a more reputable supplier which I should of done to begin with. Sorry about all the ramble, but I know I like to know if there's any suppliers I need to beware of and this is certainly one of them. I won't be doing business with SUMMER BEE MEADOW again.
  5. Millcreek's Clothesline Fresh is a strong one. It's a very popular one. http://www.millcreeksoywaxcandlesupply.com/
  6. Energizing is a great one for all you soapers. I saw someone else had excellent results with hp and I cp'd yesterday. Soaps like a dream, no acceleration and hasn't discolored and has very strong scent. I used at 7%. Combined lye water with oils at 100 degrees. It allowed me plenty of time to swirl!
  7. So far the Eco wicks are working the best for me with this wax. No soot and awesome scent throw. FO and wicks are from GL. Lots more testing to do with all her yummy FOs!
  8. Thanks Pam, yup the HTP105 was to big for me, so I tried the HTP104 and still got soot so I tried 51 cotton wicks with very little soot, and right now I'm testing the ECO wicks, starting with ECO10. I'll see how these ECO's work.
  9. Type of Soy or Soy Blend you use? GL 70/30 PerfectSoy Additives if any? none Preferred dyes? liquid Preferred wick (Not sizes)? HTP Pouring temp you recommend? 150 What you do to prevent frosting? no frosting What you do to prevent rough tops? no rough spots Do you do anything to prevent wet spots? use room temperature jars
  10. I finally poured my sample. I used 12 oz frosted metro jar, HTP 105, poured at 150 degrees, 4 drops of color, Indonesian Teak FO. It looks nice, creamy and smooth. So far the top looks great, but it's not finished cooling so we'll see. I'll test burn tomorrow. Not sure about how this wick size will act, just a starting point I guess. Maybe I should of used HTP 126? Has anyone else had luck with the HTP wicks in this wax? The frosted metro jars are very cool. I recieved them in 3 days after I placed my order.
  11. Anyone have any ideas about this??
  12. I know this was talked about before but I'm still not clear about it. When shipping lye, why do some suppliers charge the $20 hazmat fee and others don't? TIA
  13. A couple weeks ago I ordered and recieved a sample of the Soy Whipped Body Butter from Green Leaf to compare to KY which I have been using. I think the Green Leaf's is sooooo much better. Not spongy, you don't have to whip the hell out of it and it feels smooth and silky and absorbs quickly when applied. Green Leaf's is a little more expensive but definitely worth the difference. For those of you testing the soy whipped body butters I would suggest getting a sample from Green Leaf before making your decision. You won't be disappointed. There is a big difference in quality and well worth it. Way to go Brenda! I love it! :highfive:
  14. I've been keeping my eyes open for these jars too. I really like them. I did go ahead and order a case from fancycandlejars for testing. I went with the frosted ones. Of the few places I found I think that place was the cheapest. Aside from testing, I'm also wondering about labels. I'll be curious to see what people come up with. And it sounds like some of had pretty good luck wicking these things. I think the first wax I'll test in them is the sample we got from green leaf. Then i'll probably test Joy wax, which has been may latest usual. I can't wait to get them and start testing.
  15. OMG Christina!!! You crack me up!! LMAO!!!!!
  16. Well, you go for it girl!! I was so excited when I started my bath and body line too. Still excited because there's always new things to try. Then not long at after that I started soaping. Love it!! I have a candle line I make and a bath and body line, but my favorite thing to do is making CP soap!! Ya never know for sure how it's gonna turn out!! Keep having fun because it is FUN!! Expecially when you can share your creations with others.
  17. Does anyone know if soy lipids clog pores?
  18. I ordered from her just once. It took a couple months to get my order. Although the cc was charged right away. I've read the health things on her site several times and i'm sure she's a nice lady. But she sucks with her business. I'll never buy from her again. Sorry she's got so many problems but she's out there representing her business and should be completing all transactions in a timely manner. Bad business no matter how you look at. And it's not just once or twice for some people so second chances are out. Good luck to those of you that continue to do business with her. I hope you all get everything you've ordered and paid for. And I'd certainly hope you'd think twice before doing business with her again. I don't have time to mess around with businesses like that. I like to be sure I'm getting what I'm ordering and know when I'm getting it. Business with good reputations is where I like to keep my business at because they deserve it and will go the extra mile for their customers. And we all know there's lots of good suppliers out there.
  19. Where did you get the base? I would contact the company.
  20. Lynn - I think you would have to check with your local zoning dept. to see if it's ok to make candles in home to sell. For example, in the city I live, I can make the products but I can't have customers coming to my house. Kind of like, keeping it a neighborhood, not a business area. So I would check on that for your area, you don't want to have some neighbor complaining if it's not ok. Judy - Good Luck!! It's so rewarding when customers are asking for things. And I think it's even more addicting!! LOL Good Luck to both of you!!
  21. What about the color of the inside of a Fig Newton?
  22. Do you have a DBA? That's probably what the county was refering to when they said you could go there for that. It's registering your business name, "Doing Business As". That would be the first thing. Here's some steps you can follow: 1. Obtain an DBA from local courthouse.(usually small fee, like $10) 2. Get your EIN, follow the info on the IRS website 3. Get your State Sales Tax ID, follow the info on your states website, treasury dept. HTH
