  1. You need to pour palm wax hot to get the designs:grin2:
  2. I test with a melt & a small votive then if they smell good enough I make up another tester in the size jar I want them in to test wicks.
  3. I get mine from SKS http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin7c.html http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin7j.html
  4. I love those. Great colors!
  5. Can't help with what to put in but congratulations!!
  6. Hi Where do you get the cotton balls scent from?? I'd love to see if it's the same. It's such a refreshing scent.
  7. Have a wonderful time!! I wish I was going:sad2: I have an order for a couple of forever palm pillars with decals, orders for forever roses for Mother's Day, working on items for a show next weekend & working on items for a swap. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!
  8. I LOVE this scent!!! It's a BBW scent. I've looked around & I haven't found a dupe for it anywhere. It's a light, fresh scent. I don't know how the other 2 compare but let me know if you find it somewhere. I'd love to make some candles for me with it!!
  9. I'm with you, I like the octagon ones too. I also am doing the square ones!!
  10. I tried some from a different place (wish I could remember which one:undecided ) and they aren't that great. I had only used the ones from BCN before that & they work great. I'll stick with the ones from BCN!
  11. Usually they get the hats in August but they sell out real quick.
  12. Those look great! I might have to try some of those. Anyone thinking of doing a co-op??? hint hint:p
  13. When I did the tarts, I picked up some baskets at the dollar store to put them in.
  14. Use a white dye for white, haven't tried one yet but I think they might look really nice for wedding pillars. Do you mean, can you use the palm container for forevers?
  15. Hi If I remember correctly 4794 is a pillar wax right? You can use it for both the chunks & the overpour. I fill the mold with chunks most of the way then set my holder on top, put a few more chunks around the holder then do my overpour. Hope this helps you. I use palm wax for mine.
  16. Well, now that my keyboard is back working I can reply:sad2: I think it's about time for a new computer. I have gotten some from Silkytime, there not bad but just not the same quality as AH used to be. I guess I'll have to use those til maybe someone will start carrying the good ones again(I can hope!). Thanks all for the help!!
  17. I have someone who is interested in wholesaling some of my candles with the glass embeds in them and now that AH/RE is no longer selling the glass embeds I'm stuck:sad2: They had the most realistic ones out of any suppliers that I have found. Does anyone know where they used to get them from?? Other ones I have seen, well, some are just crappy looking:confused: One place has one that I think is supposed to be a polar bear but it looks like he's taking a dump(at least to me it does!!). Anyone have a hidden supplier I don't know about?? Any & all help is greatly appreciated:p
  18. I scent my chunks also but not as much as the overpour. Chunks are fun cause you can play around with different color combinations and scents.
  19. Carol-if you got the Rhubarb Apple at the sam etime I ordered my last batch, they might have sent you the wrong one. The last 2 I got where not Rhubarb Apple. If the one you have is not a strong, sour slightly apple smell to it, it's not RA. I called them & talked to Barbara & she sent me the correct ones after she found out that it was wrong. Rhubarb is VERY strong!!
  20. I'll have to try that one next time I order from them. I've found a lot of them to be good & I like the fact that they can be used in gel.
  21. Beautiful!! I was thinking of trying some of those, you just inspired me!!
  22. I just tried the one from Just Scent & it is awesome. Great hot & cold throw in Palm 2.
  23. I usually don't get into things like this but I can't just sit here and not say anything.:undecided You are just starting to test yet you have a website and pretty much everything is OOS. I think, & this is just my opinion, you are putting the cart before the horse. You need to slow down. Do your testing, be confident that you have a safe & fantastic candle then offer it to the general public. God help you & anyone who buys these. I'm sorry if this sounds mean, etc. but as others have said before, this is not something to just throw out there. You & your customers are playing with fire. As for repouring, yes I do I think it gives a nice look having a smooth top on the candles.
  24. I agree. I've used others & BCN are the best!!
