  1. as a matter of fact, Melissa was just telling me about the new version of the 444. But I am currently using the 464, and CB Advanced from CandleScience. I only did a small amt of testing w/the 444, so I may not be able to help you there. I have been getting my warning labels and wick stickums from BitterCreekNorth. They will ship prority. What kind of jars will you be using? I tried that soysolutions.com site (being nosey) and that domain name is for sale, so I am not sure about them. HTH
  2. welcome John  I was just talking to Melissa about you (had to order some FO's on sale). She is a great lady, and always eager to help. I also order from CandleScience, and have been for over a year. I like that I can get my things in 2 days! They also have great FO's, and customer service. What kind of wax are you trying?? Feel free to PM me. I'd be more than happy to try and help you . And so will many others on here- so POST AWAY, John!!
  3. Hi Denise, Since Jason has previously informed me that he is not a "wick person", I thought I'd let you know what I have found out so far.....the self-trimming types of wicks DO NOT work well w/this wax. I do however, have good luck w/the LX's, but only w/my smaller jars (1.5oz and 4oz). I am going to test my RRD's, 'cause that is what I have here. I know that someone else on here had mentioned CD's or Cotton/Paper core wicks. HTH
  4. I have never been disappointed w/any of their FO's. CM is my ultimate fav.
  5. my understaning is that the 444 is for containers. container blends generally do not do well for pillars, votives, or tarts.
  6. Melissa is an awesome person to deal with. All of her FO's are tested in soy, so they should work well for you Bandito. She welcomes the opportunity to speak with anyone here who wishes to call her.
  7. yes, it is the actual stickums. but they are sticking to the jar, not the metal wick tab
  8. all I can say is......be prepared.....but who knows?? maybe yours will be ok. mine seemed ok ( I do "tug" on them ) but 5 mins after I poured my wax, they let loose!!
  9. you know- I thought this was supposed to be a reputable company...I had ordered some supplies and also ordered some of their wick stickums. I have had to repour a bunch of my candles 'cause they're coming loose after I pour!! and not from the jar, but from the wick tab itself. I emailed them and they suggested that perhaps I am pouring too hot ....well, if 125 is too hot............they didn't offer to replace them or anything . said they had no control over the quality. that is just terrible customer service if you ask me. I will never order from them again!!!
  10. IMO, the WYW Perfect Pumpkin from BCN is not very spicey at all, but has an awesome throw. HTH
  11. I just checked the board- and the sale is still on for today!!!!!!! does anyone happen to know if the Sugar & Spice is close to a sugar cookie?????
  12. yea, quick!!! does anyone have any recs???? Need some "fall" scents. anyone use the sugar & spice, or the Autumn Spice??
  13. I use a pillar blend, and they come out perfect every time. I even sometimes use as much as 1.5oz pp FO.
  14. I think it all depends on the FO, and the wax/FO combination. But my experience has been that that is one of the things that my customers love- the fragrance lasts all the way til the end.
  15. I think it all depends on what people in your "area" want. It takes awhile to figure that out. Perhaps you can make up a little "survey" sheet. Or maybe look at your suppliers "best seller list", if they have one. Just when I stop carrying a particular scent due to it not selling- lo and behold, someone wants it. HTH
  16. how about CitrusLinen H2O from JS. very nice and clean and fresh
  17. Hey Henry- They fluctuate, as usual, but most people don't notice them unless I point them out. I'd much rather have wetspots than frosting. It's great when the whole thing is one big wetspot...lol...lol. Sometimes I can hide them w/my label. I am currently testing a mix of 50/50 CBA & 464. My first one had no wetspots at all. I'll keep you informed.
  18. Hi Inez, I have been using this wax for about a year now. I have never added anything to it. The only time I had any "cracks", was when I poured too hot, cooled too fast, or the jars were too cold. And the cracks always showed up right away. I have found that I have to adjust my pouring temps according to the weather ( right now when it is warm, I can pour warmer, ~125) HTH
  19. this is the one reason why I prefer to make my colored candles w/the CBA. Although, I am playing w/the tempuring method w/the 464 wax.....hmmmmm, perhaps I'll play w/mixing the 2 ...lol thanx for the info Henry!!
  20. wow...that's one heck of a list Rachel. ty so much for taking the time to share it
