  1. As far a s wicks go, I was told that the self-trimming wicks don't work as well, but I have been using the LX wicks and like them very much. I'm using 8-9% FO. As far as coloring goes- the tempuring seems to really help, but I will try it more after the kids get back to school . HTH
  2. you go girl .....keep those CS reviews a comin' . The Christmas Cedar and Scotch Pine rock too!!! The Cranberry Marmalade is still my ultimate favorite though
  3. I only went up one size......I use the GB 464
  4. Hi Dan .....from what I can see through the "fuzz"....they look great!!! At least you can post pics.....I'm still trying to figure that one out :undecided
  5. thanx girls....didn't think about the oils still being there :undecided
  6. I just had a thought, and was wondering.....if it is for personal use, can't you just add some more FO to it while it is still melted, and start over????????? I was thinking of selling some of my "mistakes" at a discount, and selling them to use w/the warmers, insted of "re-doing" them. Also- do you have to remove the warning label from the bottom before putting it on the warmer??
  7. reddish brown??? JMO or a combination if it is something you can layer??
  8. I have both the CBN & the CB from JS...IMO they don't smell the same, and I like them both. HTH
  9. well...I decide to test burn one of my little 1.5 oz jars anyway, just to see what would happen....and OMG....it is burning right and absolutely scenting 4 entire rooms!!! I cannot believe it's not drowning out. BTW...this scent rocks
  10. I am so glad to have given you the opportunity to use that . 4oz sounds good to me, ty.
  11. CHRIS--absolutely luv them!! I just picked up 6 tumblers similar to that at a local thrift store, for $1.25
  12. I was sooo excited about this scent- BNL Peppercorn. Leave it to me to assume it was like all the rest......I used 9% FO in my 464, and yuck :tongue2:....it never even set up right, and I'm smelling it so much I can taste it. Now I have to get the wax out of all my jars, remelt it and add to it. I wonder how much more wax I should add. I put a full oz in 12 oz of wax. I'm just so upset......
  13. I got mine from WSP (but that was last year)
  14. duh....I don't know why I didn't think of those places:o....thanx for all the quick replies:D
  15. Hi all....does anone know where to get tri-fold brochure holders?? Like- only a few of them? They can be either the black metal mesh, or the acrylic ones. I thought Walmart had them at one time, but I cannot find them anymore. When I did a search- of course most companies have a minimum that is way beyond my needs.....hhmmm....how's about doing a CO-OP for them?????? TIA!!!
  16. how's about BNL Peppercorn?? All I know is that is smells awesome OOB...very sexy
  17. here's another idea we came up with....... we would pick perhaps 6 of the pieces he has in the store, and I would make a candle in it for the person. We would charge a "per ounce" fee. I will of course have already wick tested the pieces. Thoughts on this??? Oh- and many thanx for all the input so far!!
  18. it's funny (not really)that you mentioned this today of all days... I just had a wick tab let loose from the stickum 3 times today,(5 min after the wax was poured) and all in the same jar as I was trying to get it to work. But all the other ones I did today were fine. I think I'm calling them on Monday. I have a show to get ready for on the 29th.
  19. okee dokee Annie... The "teaching" part would consist of a small group that has already "made" thier piece (and they would all be the same). I will have already gotten a finished piece to bring home and "wick-test". I will be "helping" them make their own candle in it. He has given me a pretty decent sized section to utilize. I will be checking on a weekly basis. He doesn't really care as far as what to put in there, he just wants them yesterday...lol.I also don't think he's interested in making room for my things to have them just sit there. He told me today that he's been looking for someone for 7mos, and was almost thinking of trying to make them himself. The monthly party would be advertised through his store, and also @ any shows I do.
  20. here goes.....I had a lengthy meeting with him today........ #1- he wants to do consignment. he is also going to get a crafters jewelry in the shop too. He wants to promote local crafts/crafters. #2- he also wants me to have a monthy "candle party" in the store #3- he wants me to "teach a candle making lesson".....the "students" would be painting a piece from his store, it will be glazed and fired, and then I will "teach" them how to make a candle in the finished piece. #4- he will be burning my candles in his store. Any thoughts on ALL this???
  21. I used the RRD 29's when I first started making them. They were burning just a tiny bit too hot. The LX's work much better for me. JMO
