I tried the JS Fruit Slices at 8% in EZ soy and got a fuel smell too. I haven't been having much luck with fruit fragrances.

It must have something to do with your wax. I use 1343, never use 1 oz per pound of FO, pour around 175 and get a great mottle. -
What kind of wax are you using?

I'm not real great at explainining things, so hope this makes sense- since fragrance oil is an oil, it works the same as the mineral oil. If you were to add vybar or UA to your wax along with the FO (which is probably what is happening in your case), you wouldn't get the mottling. Using the FO alone or adding stearic will give you the mottle.

I was curious about these two suppliers so did a Google search and came up with Marck and Associates web site http://www.marckassoc.com/ but couldn't find Reikes.
