    You most definitely can make pillars with the pigment dyes. I made a few heart pillars last year using the shocking pink pigment dye chips from BCN. I also add up to 5-6% FO in 1343 with the addition of 3 tbsp/lb of stearic.

    I ordered FO samples from them for the first time a couple of weeks ago. They adjusted the shipping so it was reasonable (as explained on their cart page). I did not purchase the extra insurance- didn't even notice it was available. I had a question regarding one of the samples, thought there was a possible mistake, e-mailed them asking if they could please send another which they did right away, no questions. I don't believe it's necessary to purchase the extra insurance, and since it's only an option and not required, why stress? If it was added on automatically, then I would not purchase from them.

    Definitely sounds like angelwings1 is trying to stir up trouble. I've purchased several Texas Candle Supply oils and they work great in my soy wax.

    You could use the next size up in zinc or you could decrease the percentage of FO. When I used this oil, I used 7% instead of my usual 8%. The HTP52 and LX14 aren't going to do the trick and I don't have any experience with the RRD's. Yes, you usually have to wick up with cinnamons and vanillas- when you get new oils you can tell by the fill level if they are on the heavy side which can help you to decide where begin with wicking.

    I totally agree with Michael. The style of the container comes first- I'm into rustic so would look for something to fit that bill rather than country or contemporary. Of course, if I can't smell it and it doesn't burn well, I won't be buying more.

    Yes, you can do rustics in the seamless molds. With the seamed molds, they will leave a line down the pillar which you can remove with a knife followed by a little buffing with a soft cloth.
