  1. Pamaroma I am a newbie here on this forum & can certainly relate to you . I too feel like I have many new friends & everyone here has been great .Please do not stay away to long .Communicating with others will help strengthen you emotionally. I have found what has worked for me is to keep calm ,carry on & do the best you can each day. Do not get down on yourself & know you can accomplish anything you want. Take your time & stay positive. Most importantly ask the Lord for strength ,he is there for you always. Birdcharm is right your stronger than you can imagine. God bless & take care ,Kat
  2. Yea Trappeur this oil shopping never ends Gosh & Black Friday is arriving soon ,oh no we are all in TROUBBBLE LOL. So many BF fragrance oil sales will be going on. HELP HELP!!!! I made wax melts with 1 sample of my PPW , loved it. I sent you some PPW wax tarts made with MS oil & Maple pecan Strudel WSP ,along with the PPW oil sample. Let me know your opinion which one is stronger PPW MS ,or PPW FP. I know we both use different wax ,still should be able to pin point the stronger one. I also wanted to know about the VBN from FP when you test. I am going to make a decision between WSP ,MS or Front porch VBN. I laughed when I read your message this morning about having your cart filled with MS ,I am in process of the same with Front Porch .I am making double & triple scented wax chunks to try & reduce my fragrance oil inventory. I just received another order from Aztec . They have a new fragrance called SANTAS FARTS LMBO Description is Buttery& Creamy sweet chocolate with nutty top notes sitting on a base of rich Vanilla & Cotton candy bottom notes. I will get this one in the wax asap. It has a yummy aroma OOB I also received a Aztec email this morning another new one posted Lush Type called YOG NOG . Aztec is now a Crafters Choice authorized Distributor. They are taking request for any CC products ,I am going to ask for the VANILLA BEAN NOEL fragrance oil to be added ,will be much cheaper thru Aztec rather than WSP lol. I will let you know if they will be adding it .I hope so because I do not like the VBN they have at this time at all. I love a lot of Aztecs oils & products ,however the VBN is not one of them. I am going to try Aztecs all soy tart blend & post results . I want to try my luck at soy & ordered a 5lb sampler bag .I have some crafters waiting to hear how this wax performs in tarts ,so I will post when tested. I once again apologize for such long post .I try to keep these short ,just have a heavy hand when posting LOL...I annoy myself at this lol.... If we all start requesting Crafters Choice VBN from Aztec ,maybe they will add this one for us. Aztec is taking request for any CC products for anyone interested. I will be waiting to hear from you on the PPW & Maple pecan Strudel. Thanks friend ,Kat
  3. Trappeur , I would love to know your results on the PPW from front porch LOL:) I sent you the MS sample & you should be receiving it soon .Please let me know the strongest results you get .I am tempted now to try Front Porch .I thought I had settled on MS until I read your post lol I have heard great things about FP . I do so far love the oils I received from MS. I put the Iced lemon Danish in the wax yesterday ,love love love this one . I will keep my notes on all the oils I purchased from MS .I have tested so far & love their PPW ,Peach Magnolia Raspbery & now the Lemon Danish . I may just have to place a FP order now ....NEVER ENDS RIGHT!!!!!!! Kathy
  4. My Aztec soy tart blend is set to be out for delivery to me today I will keep you all posted on my results. KrisS ,I hope to have some good news for you with this one. I went ahead & ordered from Aztec & excited to see how this wax performs. Maybe this will turn out to make some good melts idk ...Will let ya know ,Kat
  5. These are absolutely AMAZING Great job & thank you for sharing. I am working on mine for the next couple of weeks .I will post pics when finished. I am a newbie & love making wax chunks & tarts .I admire all you crafters hard work , Kathy
  6. Belinda , you are exactly right ,I have tried CW's lol. It was not even close to TCS . I love the CW wax I did order the new fall sampler pack they offered a while back & only tried the Pumpkin Pancakes & Apple cider donut . I still have a couple of more to put into the wax. I will be adding Maple Street to my list of suppliers for sure. I love most I ordered OOB & excited to get the remainder into the wax. The Iced lemon Danish & all the pumpkin scents smell so good. I will post my results as I go along with the rest. This company has low prices & very fair shipping. I believe I ordered 20 samplers for around $26 or so dollars. I certainly did not need any more oils ,but seems to be so hard to turn down a great deal LOL. I have been looking for the PPW a while & finally going to settle on this one It has strong throw & near the same aroma as TCS. Oh another plus with MS is they allow you to choose as many of the same scent you would like with this 20 bottle sampler pack .I know a lot of companies will only let you choose 1 of the same with sampler packs. I will be making wax chucks this week with a lot of my oils I have in stock & find this is a great way to clear out some oil inventory. I will make 3 to 4 scents each with the chunks. I know I am being a huge enabler with Maple street & sorry if I am causing you all to order more oils lol. I just had to try this company & so glad I did . I wanted to share my good news on the PPW Good talking to you again ,I will always remember you were the very first person I chatted with when I first joined a few months ago & yes we are neighbors Take care & God Bless ,Kathy
  7. Yes Trappuer pm me your address .I will get you a PPW sampler out Monday heading your way. I had great results with the Maple streets PPW & so close to TCS. I am excited about the remaining scents I purchased as well. I will post results as I get them into the wax. I hope this PPW performs great for you too. I have heard so many great reviews on WSP Vanilla bean noel ,I am going to order a pound myself ,along with the Maple pecan streusel ,love this one . I have a lot of WSP dupes of Bath & Body works scents & love most all of them. I have only had a few of their oils I did not care for ,but that seems to be the case with most all companies. I placed a order with Aztec for their all soy tart wax & excited to try this one out. I have always used paraffin & do want to experiment with some soy for wax melts. I have used pillar soy on occasion for blending ,but always go back to the paraffin. Hopefully your search for the PPW will come to an end after you try this sample. I will be sure to get some WSP vanilla noel .I know I will love it if it performs as well as Tcs ,loved that one too. Send me the address & I will get this out to you .God bless ,Kathy
  8. Trappeur , I received my Maple Street oils today . Great news on the PPW I am very pleased & will settle on this one as my replacement. I immediately poured a pound of tarts. I have not even cured the tarts 24 hours & tested a few in my burner ,all I can say is YES this is the one. I have a very large home & could smell the scent from the front room & drifted all the way to the back. This oil performed great in my wax. It put out a very strong aroma ,just like TCS. This ppw is so close to a match & I think maybe Maple Street & TCS both had the same supplier with this scent. I wanted to let you know my results & I will be purchasing several large bottles of this scent. I have more to still put into the wax . I love the OOB aroma of the Iced lemon Danish ,Pumpkin milkshake, Cinnamon Broom, Pumpkin soufflé ,Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow BBW type & may have just found the Salty caramel that I loved from TCS. I am very pleased with the PPW & wanted to share my good news. I definitely will be purchasing oils from Maple Street in the future. I have a extra 1 oz sampler if you would like me to send it to you. It will save you on ordering & shipping cost .I know every oil reacts differently to different waxes. I am offering you one of my PPW samples to test . I do believe you will be very happy with this one ,if it binds well to your wax . I am going to test the others I purchased & most definitely will be adding Maple Street as another supplier to my list .Message me your address & I will be happy to send you a sample .I still want to hear your results as well with the other companies on the PPW I think we are in luck finally with this scent ,Kat
  9. I do not like smudges on the bags either. It takes away from all the hard work that goes into making these tarts. I agree with Belinda ,try the window craft bags from papermart , they also come in white. Also they offer the polypropylene bags at a very low price ,if you buy in bulk. I pay $26 for 1000 bags. Shipping is not bad at all .I pack my wax chunks in craft window bags due to smears. It is not visible when packed in the window kraft bags .If you make molded tarts & do not want smears ,add a pillar wax to your wax. I have to make chunks with softer wax ,so I can cut them into squares ,but my molded tarts are made with a harder paraffin blend. I just wanted you to know how important it is to pack your melts in polypropylene ,keeps the scent in the wax & the bag will not absorb the scent. I hope this advice is very helpful to you ,Kat
  10. Thank you Trappeur for notification on the VBN from WSP I should be receiving my Maple street oils anyday ,I did include a couple of samples of their VBN. I am hoping it will be a winner along with the PPW .I will let you know how these smell OOB & performance after I get them into the wax. I appreciate the offer & I will be ordering a pound of Maple Pecan Streusel so may go ahead & get a pound of the VBN .I know it has to be a wonderful scent at $32 lb WOW! I am loading my cart daily LOL . I am slow when it comes to ordering fragrance oils LOL .I look at them all before deciding & try to cover most of the reviews .I will decide on the VBN as soon as my MS arrives. I hope to get these oils by tomorrow. I am hopeful about both the PPW & THE VBN from maple street ,maybe just wishful thinking on my part . I hope to be able to notify you with great news on the PPW . Have you had any results with Cierra's PPW yet? I know you use soy ,so maybe I am asking a bit to early. I have never used soy other than PB for blending a few years back. I am wanting to make some all soy tarts & have placed a order for Aztec's all soy tart blend sampler. I just fear the frosting issues & have no patience for cure time lol. I am willing to be patient if I can find or create a good blend. I will never know until I try & this is a project I have been wanting to do for a long while. I have no clue what type of soy this blend contains. Aztec does not have any reviews on this wax yet ,if I am remembering correctly. Curiosity talked me into this one .I will post results & hope this will make a great long lasting melt. Thank you so much for your kind offer on the VBN .I will know what to do as soon as my MS arrives. It is sounding like the VBN is perfect from WSP, now if we can just find our PPW ,we will be very HAPPY Keep me updated ,I will do the same ,Kat
  11. WSP Vanilla bean Noel out of stock at this time. Wow the price is High for this one. I will say the Maple Pecan Strusel is great & only $19 a pound . I have a sample of VBN coming from Maple Street & will post my results on this one for you all. I am excited to get the oils from this company & hope the ones I ordered are good ones ,especially the PPW . Thanks Trappeur for keeping us posted on your results with VBN from your other sources & the PPW ...Thank you bunches . Kat
  12. Moonstar ,I to have read good reviews on palm wax. I may give it a try. The candlewic wax performs great for me with most scents & has great throw. I do have trouble with some of the bakery oils in it. I use a 50-50 blend of 4625 & 4630 for a lot of the bakery if it fails in the 129. I have learned that any scent with vanilla needs to be added at a high temp to bind to the wax. My only complaint with Candlewic is the shipping. It cost me $98 to ship 100 lbs to Tx ,that's a lot ,but I do like the wax so I keep on paying it lol. I try to wait & order when they have a shipping sale before I order . I want to cut my cost & trying to find a good blend that performs as well as the 129. I have blended some 4630 with my 129 & IMO the wax did not perform as well. I think a lot of vendors use palm & have great results. Do you mix the palm with soy or paraffin? I think we all are always searching for a perfect blend & want our melts to last as long as possible. I do know fragrance oils are a major factor to a good melt as well. I have some that are super strong & last all day & some fade out in 4 to 6 hours . It really depends on the scent I use. I also think all melts should cure at least a few days for best performance . I know my 50/50 blend needs a few days cure time & I can tell the difference. I also use my 50/50 blend when making wax chunks because the 129 is a very hard wax . I have to be able to cut the chunks . The 129 is great for silicone molds . I have heard of a lot of venders using just 4625 alone for melts & may try this method to. I will definitely try some palm samples & see if I get good results. I placed a order for Aztec's soy wax tart blend & hope this will make good melts. The 129 does not need cure time ,I have made these fresh & they perform great right away ,if the scent binds well. It can be picky with scents & I hate to waste wax . It takes citrus & floral very well . IMO bakery does better in my 50-50 blend . I will let you know my results with Aztecs tart blend . My main concern is smudges on the bags. Thanks for the info on the palm .How much did you add to your wax ? Thank you for sharing
  13. Aww thanks Moonstar ,I know I am long winded at times. I just try to cover everything & seems like I always have a lot to say LOL I agree with you on Rose Girls , bet they work 24 /7. Front porch has a booming business too. I know it takes a lot of dedication & time to build up any kind of business . I have made some 2 pound 8 inch wax pies in multi colors when I first started pouring wax & let me tell you ,it is work. My daughter would put these on a local for sale or trade site here in our home town & they would sell within a minute . These took a lot of time to make & customers loved them. I would make them in multi scents & colors. I have never tried RE tart blend wax . I have read to many mixed reviews on this one ,so decided against ordering this one. I am thinking about trying the Aztec soy tart wax blend & maybe add some 4625 with it. The Aztec tart blend I believe is a new product & so far no reviews on it. I love to blend wax & never really tried soy ,other than the soy pillar added to paraffin. I am happy with my paraffin blends I use ,but I do want to add some soy products as well. I know I am missing out on some great scents from RE & should try some of their oils. I have heard great things about their fragrance oils & will eventually try some. I have never ordered from Maple Street until now & hoping I do at least get some good ones. I will let you know as soon as I receive them & get them into the wax. I know their prices are very fair & ships flat rate $8 .I love being able to try 20 samplers for $26 & they allow you to choose as many of the same scent as you want to your order. I know I put 5 PPW in my cart & a couple of more of the same scent. I ordered every pumpkin scent they offered. I am excited about this order for sure I will be placing a order from WSP for a large bottle of the Maple pecan Strudel , let me know if you want me to send you a sample when it arrives. They do sometimes ship slow ,but wait time is not to very bad. I am used to so many companies sending my orders out & getting them in just a few days .WSP does take a little bit longer .I have heard such great reviews on their Vanilla bean Noel ,so I figure I can't go wrong with this scent from them. I do love their Maple pecan strudel & if you love bakery ,you will love this one. It performs great for me & a very long lasting scent. I will be more than happy to send you a sample so you do not have to spend shipping cost for one oil ,unless your already placing a order with them. I will be spending the 40 or 50 limit required to get the free shipping . Let me know & I appreciate a good listener like you
  14. OOPS ! I forgot to mention TCS Red velvet cake ,loved that one to & got my hands on a 1 pound bottle right before they closed This one is going to be hard to find & have tried many ,none could compare . I just used the rest of my TCS Salty Caramel
  15. Yes Trappeur the Maple Pecan Strudel is wonderful , very strong & long lasting in tarts. I will be placing a order soon with WSP.. I have to try the VBN for sure .I have heard a lot of great reviews on this one. I will be happy to send you some Maple Pecan Strudel to try for yourself . I love the scent & purchased it when WSP had their summer sale a while back. I did not expect much from the MPS because the price was so cheap & when I finally got it into the wax WOW what a shocker .I love the aroma & think you will too since you like bakery. I am looking forward to the Maple Street scents & hoping the PPW is going to be great. I also ordered Iced lemon Danish & all the pumpkin scents. I cannot imagine what Pumpkin milkshake smells like ,so I put it in the cart out of curiosity lol. I also ordered their Vanilla bean Noel as well . I have so many oils waiting to put into the wax & certainly do not need any more , but I am determined to find the PPW .I find it very hard to pass up a bargain on fragrance oils & get emails constantly from my suppliers running specials . I got to thinking about my suppliers & was going to check The Candlemakers store for the PPW. I do love some of his oils & he may carry the BBW dupe PPW. Have you tried TCS for PPW ? This has become quite a challenge for us to get this scent since TCS closed . Your right we will find it or get it duped . Let me know if you want me to send you a sample of the Maple pecan Strudel .I will be placing my order with WSP soon .Keep in touch ,stay positive & hang in there
  16. Hey Moonstar, I see you like to blend wax .I wanted to tell you I had a great blend a couple of years ago & had some awesome results ,this was a while back but I want to say it was 50% 4630+25% 4786+25% soy Pillar. The tarts came out nice & strong. I cannot remember how long they lasted & scents are always a factor with duration as well. I think the reason I quite this blend was smudge issues on the poly bags. I may try this blend again & cut back on the 4630 & add a bit more Soy pillar. I love to blend wax & my favorite thing is blending oils. I love Candlewic's 129 ,just shipping is killer for me down here in South ,Tx. I wanted to comment on the other subject you mentioned as well. I have heard of the Rose company tarts you posted about earlier. I think it is called Rose Girls, could be wrong on this ,but it does sound very familiar to me. I will do some blending this week & let you know how my melts perform. I also want to get some feedback on Aztec's tart blend wax .I think I posted something a couple of weeks back on this wax & still have not had any response on performance. I may just go ahead & order the sampler & see if this may be a magic tart blend LOL I see Aztec has another new fragrance oil Southern Pecan $9 lb intro price. I may place the order & try this tart blend wax since I am ordering some oils from them anyways. I just ordered a 20 pack from Maple Street & have high hopes on finding a great Pumpkin pecan Waffle TCS replacement. I do not need another supplier ,but we know how that goes lol. I also want to try out this Vanilla bean Noel from WSP . Trappeur stated earlier that this oil is the bomb. I have also heard a lot of crafters brag on this one ,so I trust the reviews on this one. I do also want to let you all know that the Maple Pecan Strudel from WSP is a fantastic fragrance with amazing results for me .I need to grab a pound of this one as well. Thank you all for sharing .I am sorry , I write such long post. I always wanted to be a writer LOL I will settle for wax crafting ,much more fun ,Kat
  17. Trappeur , I use paraffin Candlewic 129 ,shipping is killer to South Texas I also use 4630/4625 blend . I do want to try soy & still trying to research results on the one Aztec carries. I think it is called AKK 94 ,something like that . It says it is a tart blend & they do offer a sample pack. I hope if anyone has tried this tart blend from Aztec ,they will post their results.
  18. Hello Trappeur , I knew you would check them out LOL I ordered 20 of the 1 oz bottles & they allow you to place duplicates with the sampler packs . I think I purchased 5 or 6 of the PPW . I am so hoping the PPW is strong like TCS. This company had so many of the TCS scents so it had me wandering. I ordered a lot of the same I used from TCS. The site was so similar to TCS ,so I had my hopes up thinking they purchased the company. I will be receiving my oils this week & let you know how the scents turn out. I make paraffin wax tarts & chunks .I do make candles for myself & love finding unique glass items to pour my candles. By the way I have looked at your candles & they are amazing Maple street is new to me & I have so many suppliers now , I am willing to drop one if these oils turn out to be good quality. I know I purchased all the Pumpkins scents & Peach Magnolia Rasberry ,Apple Wreath ,Iced lemon Danish, Salty caramel & the PPW of course. Thank you for getting more info on this company & we just might have found another great supplier . I am determined to hunt down the amazing PPW & alot more like TCS. I think it could be possible the PPW turns out to be our winner ,if not maybe the owner can lead us in the right direction to find it. I am in the same boat as you with finding this scent . I love a good challenge LOL Please let me know how FB pumpkin waffle turns out. Oh yes I see your post about purchasing the PPW from Front Porch ,lol I was going to place that same order . Please let me know if that one is the winner . We will find it eventually ,maybe we can find a company to dupe this for us. I agree Candlescience has great quality oils & if they would get the PPW ,it would more than likely be a strong one. Peak also has some great quality oils as well. I hope one of us has some great news by the end of the week. I need this scent & have not had much luck finding the one like TCS. I placed a order from Indiana & made a batch & it was not even close to TCS. I am going to add some pecan pie to this one & rename it .I think I will call it Pumpkin Pecan Hotcakes . I do have high hopes that Maple Street PPW will be the one ,may just be wishful thinking on my part thou . Hang in there Trappeur ! I will be in touch ,Kat
  19. Trappeur, I just placed my order with Maple street . The website really reminds me of TCS ,for a moment it was almost like I was filling a TCS order lol... They have a lot of the same scents that TCS carried . I will let you know as soon as these arrive. I ordered the 1oz. sampler 20 pack ,very low prices .They offer 20 1 oz bottles for $26.99 + 8.00 flat rate shipping. I loved TCS Peach mag Raspberry ,Apple wreath, VBN ,Salty caramel along with many more. This company offers many of the TCS scents ,so here is hoping we will find our super strong PPW Kat
  20. Thank you so much Trappeur I will place a order with Maple street & let you know if it is a dupe. Hopefully between the both of us ,we will find the beloved duplicate of Tennessees . I have read reviews about WSP Vanilla bean Noel & sounds like a winner. I do hope we can find the PPW .I hope Cierra or FB will be a match ,they do have some great quality oils. I have never ordered from Maple Street ,so I will take a chance. I am determined to find it. You are absolutely right TCS was the ultimate. Stay in touch & I will let you know about Maple street as well. Kat
  21. I am still looking for a great Pumpkin Pecan waffle oil .I was wanting to know if anyone has tried Maple street Pumpkin pecan Waffles . I am trying to find one exactly like TCS. I have found close but not quite the same. Flaming, Indianna , Northstar . Please comment if you have tried any Maple Streets oils ,I see they have great prices & I have never ordered from this co. Thank you for any info you can give me on their oils ,especially the PPW scent. Thanks a bunch ,Kat
  22. Your hand crafted candles are AMAZING I admire every one & thanks for sharing ,Kat
  23. Welcome to the board You are certainly in the right place. There are a lot of crafters full of helpful advice here .I learn something new everyday here .This board is full of candle makers with a lot of wisdom & experience. Candle making can be such a rewarding hobby. It does not happen over night & every scent has to be tested . I have made some myself with great results & I will also say I have made some with not so great results. Candle making is a learn as you go adventure. I know you will find a lot of helpful tips here & I wish you great success with your hobby. My advice is have patience & do not give up ,test ,test test. I know others will chime in to welcome you as well ,Kathy
  24. Aztec has a new scent Yankee type Autumn in the Park. It is $11 a pound This scent sounds very nice. Stay away from their Cinnamon sugar Donut ,major issues going on with this one. I love their 5 for 5 deals & low price shipping. I make wax melts & double & triple scent wax chunks. Your soap is amazing ,great job. I have never made soap & would love to learn how to do this .You all are so talented
  25. Yes I can understand why you want to stay with soy I would suggest trying to find a container soy to blend with your pillar wax & you will eventually find the perfect blend. I do want to try soy myself ,I have a lot of customers asking for soy melts. I have also read good reviews on palm wax melts. I may give it a try as well. I am very happy with the paraffin blends I use & will keep pouring these ,just would like to have a variety of waxes .
