  1. I have tried several myself and have found that Bittercreek is the strongest.
  2. I have a 64 cavity silicone mold from Bittercreek that i pour any excess into. Some of them I will package in little 2x2 baggies for samples and I also save some for when I come up short on my top-offs. I don't usually have more than 3-4 but nothing is wasted.
  3. I received an email from Cajun Candle that IGI is going up on their wax in March. Has anyone else gotten this from other suppliers?
  4. BC has a 64 cavity mold that I think would be the perfect size. I use it for samples.

  6. Check out https://craftybase.com/. It is amazing and very reasonably priced.
  7. Check out this link: http://www.beingmvp.com/2015/06/diy-tassel-essential-oil-diffuser.html
  8. I live in La Porte which is East of Houston. I have only ordered beads from Bittercreek and Cajun. Bittercreek advertises 30% absorbtion and Cajun is 40%. Plus the price and the shipping is a lot cheaper from Cajun. I'm hoping that Lone Star will eventually start selling them as I order most of my products from them.
  9. Check out Cajun Candle for the beads. Great price and reasonable shipping.
  10. What about using it for incense?
  11. I hadn't thought about pillars. That's an idea but never got into them. I do make wax melts, would it be the same?
  12. Sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. The wax that I am being given is just a straight paraffin from IGI. The MSDS shows it to be the 1000 series. This same MSDS is available on the Bittercreek website. I currently use 4786 and 4794 with no additional additives. I have been using them for over 12 years and am extremely happy with both. I have read everything that I could find on the IGI website and many others that sell IGI wax. I have made a list of every additive that I could find with an explanation of what they do. What I am trying to figure out is if they use some secret ingredient to come up with the blends or is it just a combination of the additives that are available for sell to the public. Thank you, Old Glory. I think Peak has great information. I had actually used a lot of information on the additives that they sell. It looks like I might have 1343. Correct me if I'm wrong, it sounds like Micro and Stearic would basically give me the same result in a container candle. I get that Vybar would definitely be needed to raise the fragrance load. On the other hand, Peak's Vybar 343 sounds interesting because it would allow me to raise the fragrance load and enhance the mottling. (I have played around with Glassglow for a year with no success so maybe I'll give that a shot). As it is, it would only hold 3% fragrance. Petrolatum softens the wax and helps with adhesion. All of this is boggling my mind as I have never used anything more than a little Vybar with vanilla fragrances and UV inhibitor. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences. You all certainly make life easier for many of us.
  13. Thank you so much, Chris. I had found the Candlewic website but hadn't seen the other one.
  14. I have been offered a large amount of IGI base wax. I currently use IGI4786 for containers and 4794 for melts. I have been researching for weeks trying to find a formula of additives to use to get as close as I can to my current waxes. Is it just a matter of adding vybar 260 or are their other additives?
  15. Poured the Bird of Paradise last night . Almost spot on. It is a softer scent but still very strong. Love it!!
  16. Thank you so much! I ordered a sample from Rustic Escentuals so if that one isn't what I am looking for, I will try mixing it.
  17. Can anyone suggest a supplier that has a good dupe for this fragrance? I have been using the one from Bittercreek but not close enough. A little strong on the pomegranate. Thank you!
  18. AAA Candle Supply has black metal lids for all sizes of the Libbey Cube jars
