  1. You must have the patience of a saint to put all that together! They are very pretty, but I could not do that... I would probably buy that, but I couldn't use it...LOL
  2. Very pretty candles! Glad you found a distraction/therapy. Good to see you back.
  3. When I first started making soaps, I used the brand of Lard you are speaking of. .. I love lard in my soaps!!
  4. Very pretty soaps! Love the cutter your husband put together!! Not that I'll need one anytime soon, but nice just the same!!
  5. Not all the same size wicks are the same. I usually buy mine from one place, but decided to try some from another business and found that the second place had the same size # on them, but they were smaller. I'm just sayin
  6. My monitor is doing the same thing! I thought they all had multiple wicks also. They are very classy looking!
  7. I did this with my pots, especially the larger ones. I used a pair of pliers with a cloth in between the pot and pliers. I just got them to make a more defined spout. I found out the hard way the first time! Left marks on my pot, so I started using the cloth between. It never messed with the bottom of my pots and they sit level. HTH
  8. I too found the Toaster Tart Warmers!! They are too cute!
  9. Looks like a lot of work, but it looks great!!
  10. I have to agree with Sliver on this one. Whats to stop the arms from getting warm and dripping? Fire Hazard written all over it!
  11. Quote "Hot throw is determined the size of your melt pool. The wider the pool the greater the throw. That's why a single votive in a tight votive holder won't give you a great throw. You would need to burn multiple votive candles to scent a room." I will disagree with this statement only because the very first votive I ever made and burned in a flower pot votive burner, smelled up a lot of area for me! We could smell it in 3 rooms!! But I must say that the layout of the house was very open. Don't know if that's why? The fragrance was Jasmine and it made me believe in my candles... I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the type of fragrance but I've been really lucky with my wax, additives and fragrances. JMHO
  12. I use a paraffin container wax. I love the way they burn! I also use a tight fitting container as I was always told that votives should be in a tight fitting container no matter the type of wax you use. JMO
  13. What the heck are you SMOKING??? I want some!!
  14. Gorg-u-muss!! Love the contrast of colors. Hope it stays for you!
  15. Love the look of your soap! Thank you for all the information about the molds and liners, too! Hopefully I can get my DH to make me some molds and I can get the liners and get back into soaps soon.
  16. I've had water in my wax before (IGI 2281). It was in the slabs in the box. I just took paper towels and dried it off, then melted it, all was fine.
  17. May I have a glass of milk with mine??
