  1. Forget testing the RRD29 in the 2", been there done that and blowed out before it burned down 1". I finally said a few choice words to this mold and put it on the back of my shelf so I wouldn't even have to look at it. Portia
  2. I don't use your particular wax blend, as I use Joy, but I have been able to use either a 44-32 or a 51-32 with no problems. Just depends on the fo. HTH Portia
  3. Ok, I think I need to let my wax cool down more before pouring these. Will try this and see how it works. Thanks a bunch for the advice. Yea, these are a pain in the a*s. Portia
  4. Does anyone by chance have a picture of how you label the 6 pk tealites and the votive pks in the clear packages? I've never made these, but am participating in the co-op for them and have no idea how to label them. TIA Portia
  5. I was just curious as to how you all keep the wick from falling over when you pour tealites? I have been using toothpicks laid beside the wick, but sometimes when I pour just alittle too full, the toothpick makes an impression in the wax. Any other techniques? TIA Portia
  6. IMO, though I've never tried to pour directly into the cutter, but I would think it would be less messy pouring onto the cookie sheet and then cutting. That's the way I've always done it. HTH Portia
  7. Yea, I located a couple of stores in NC and TN. They have some of the most awesome outfits for their bears. It's a darn shame you can't buy them wholesale. I would love to find somewhere that you could get patterns for some clothes like that and I'd make my own. Portia
  8. I have had my 4761 do that when pouring to make embeds, using a cookie sheet. This is with 4761, dye and fo only, no other additives. Still haven't figured out why it happens. Portia
  9. Has anyone ever purchased from www.buildabear.com for their bear needs? I was looking for some feedback. TIA Portia
  10. Been there, done that,,,,,,,,,,,,,just not quite that tall,,,,,,,,,I feel for ya,,,,,,,,Portia
  11. I am in need of a few graphics and wondered if anyone had any suggestions? I am needing a cinnamon bun, an apple and a gingerbreadman and woman, preferrably country looking. TIA Portia
  12. I had one of those and at times could get that message and I don't remember if I turned it off and then back on or if I just ignored the message and it printed fine. Have you taken the cartilages out and put them back in? HTH Portia
  13. You can get it at Candlewic. HTH Portia
  14. Wow!!! Those look awesome. Where in the world do you find a graphic to fit each scent? Portia
  15. I've never had any problems with it beading up. You might want to try putting a thin layer in it, letting it dry and them come back with another layer. HTH Portia
  16. Does anyone by chance have the instructions from the old site to hand make the Calla flower? TIA Portia
  17. By ALL means, PLEASE post when you see them there. Thanks a bunch! Portia
  18. Does anyone know of a place that offers a wide variety of teddy bear outfits at reasonable prices? I have googled goodle to death and you either have to order $100 or the prices are outrageous. I know you can get some at Micheal's and other craft stores, but was trying to find something cheaper. TIA Portia
  19. Does anyone know of a place to get those little packets of different colored silk bows, they come 6 to a pack and Wal-mart has them hanging in the section where you can get individual rolls of ribbon. They probably aren't 1/2" wide. I have searched til I am blue in the face and haven't found them anywhere. I ran across someone's website a few weeks ago that had them, but for the life of me I can't figure out who's it was. I've gone through my history and can't find it there. TIA Portia
  20. For me, I have used Mica in candles and no matter how much or how little I put into melted wax, I can NEVER see a difference in it until I start to burn the candle and then it gathers in the MP. I never have been able to see it on the surface of the candle. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?????????? Portia
  21. I'm using the same mold that you are and "yes" it is a pain. These as I have found are votives that are burned freestanding and need to be treated as that. You have to use a higher melt wax and a smaller wick as to not get a blowout, because just incase they do burn them, you have to be safe. I'm still testing something different with these. Not yet 100% satisfied with any of them......Portia
  22. I have the woodburning tools, I wonder if they would work? I think though that it might get too hot and melt the wax too fast. Portia
  23. I feel your pain! I have been fighting with that darn thing 4ever. I FINALLY ended up using IGI 4761 and a 44-24z to work. I didn't end up with a blowout until it was just about completely burned to the bottom. I tried Astro F wax and an RRD29 and that gave me a blowout. HTH Portia
  24. Yea, I checked ebay and they had everything but what I was looking. Thanks,,,,Portia
  25. I would LOVE to be able to find this types of molds. Have any of you ever seen these types and where could I find them? TIA Portia
