  1. Hey Deb, I am really bad at names but I will give it a shot for you... Country Kitchen Spice Rack Bake Shoppe Nana's Kitchen/Grandma's Kitchen Spice Cake Welcome Home Country Spice Spiced Vanilla
  2. Thanks CB...I remember you saying something about a burnt note, as did some others, but I am glad to hear that it's gone...I think I am gonna pour this one up tomorrow and see! I'll try to give it a good cure, but I am just as impatient as everyone else on the board so it will be tough! BTW, I love reading your scent reviews and posts...you always have such great input!
  3. Good to know!! Thanks! I couldn't be bothered with trimming to fit, so I use oval labels...they looked very neat because you could see the tarts too.
  4. CB & Anabanana, does it change alot in wax? I have a sample but not too sure about it oob.
  5. Thanks CB...I was thinking about trying it...I hope it works!!! I know everyone loves this scent, especially the sweetie who sent me a sample of it (Sharon, "Queen Enabler"). I am so glad you guys are digging the Creme Brulee...crossing my fingers!!
  6. I love reading all the variety of scents we all pour and burn!! I am burning CS Cranberry Marmalade (love this one--got it going in a jar and a tart), Peaks Blackberry Sage, and Cinnamon Buns (blend of Peaks and CS).
  7. Well, I see the mods moved your post...that's good 'cuz you'll get more answers here! I'm not a fan of pine scents and can't really pour or burn them in my house anymore (it goes back several years to a "Turkey noodle soup meets FO tablespoon" fiasco by DH), but I love spiced cranberry scents for Christmas. Peaks Spiced Cranberry is great, and so is Candlescience Cranberry Marmalade. Peaks Sugar Plum Berries is also very nice.
  8. I am so sad...I am getting a fuel smell with the lemon biscotti:sad2: That's in palm...anyone else get this? I am so bummed because I LOVE this one OOB...but there's always tarts and wickless, right??? Gonna pour some creme brulee tonight!!
  9. Sorry Suzie...I just read your other post and see now that you did give most of that info. But how far or how long you burned each of those sizes that aren't working would help.
  10. Suzie, is that measurement the widest point of the jar? Which jar is it...the 9 oz? I can't remember the exact sizes of those jars. Can you give us a little more to go on? maybe that is why no one had any ideas to offer...what wax, how much FO and what scent, how many burns did you do with those wicks? I can tell you that you cannot expect to get a full melt pool on your first few burns or you will be WAY overwicked as you get down to the narrow bottom of that jar. Did you burn at least halfway with any of those wicks? If so, did you try a larger CD?
  11. Hi Natalie! I carry a 15 oz jar and a 5 oz jar. People LOVE the 5 oz!! I charge $6 each but always do a 4 for $20 special and 99% of the time people buy them 4 at a time!
  12. Well, I used this a long time ago and not with soy, but I think it was a CD16 that worked best. Maybe try that, and give it a chance to catch up (you can't wick for a full melt pool at the top or you will have one whopper of a flame at the bottom and glass so hot you can't touch it). Good luck!
  13. Called on Wednesday and ordered samples of their bulb jars and one of their black metal lids (I like it...nice fit). Anyway, two days ago Sherri told me it may be a week before they can get it out and today the big brown truck pulled up with my samples! I have ordered from them in the past and have always been happy, but this was unexpected!! Just thought I would share.
  14. I like ST (ICS) Vanilla Bliss - very sweet almost maple-y, and Wildfire's Ms randy's vanilla bean
  15. Peak's sweet pea, for sure. Their lovespell is super strong (although not my fave scent). GL!
  16. OMG - Beautiful Lisa!!!! I love the pattern and the colors!

  18. Wow, Susan...I couldn't imagine doing it without a thermometer, even if it is off! I add my FO at what I thought was 200*, I stir for 2 minutes using a wire whisk, so I do think it must be the temp...anyway, until get a new thermomoter I will add 20-25* using the same scents I had trouble with to determine if the temp WAS the problem. Thanks everyone for your input!
  19. Susan, No the problem (or possible problem) is not that the wax is being overheated. It is just the opposite. And I haven't had the leakage problem with every candle I have poured, which speaks to your point about varying from manufacturers' instructions still with good results. The issue I am having is with Glass Glow palm, and CS suggests heating to 200* then adding FO, color, then pouring. I have been doing that, and several candles, even when poured at 5% (which is the recommended load for this wax) were collecting at the bottom of the jar. CS had suggested checking my temp as that might be the cause of my problem. So, if my thermomoter is, in fact, off 23*, then I am adding FO at approximately 178*. In any event, I am going to have to get me a new thermometer, which I will of course check against the old one...still don't know about the whole water vs steam issue with checking temps though! Jenn
  20. I got a sample of this and I have to put it into wax!! Just curious, how does this compare to JS chestnuts & brown sugar?? Should be a lot of similar notes, based on descriptions. CBS throws GREAT, but it is the only thing I order from there, so I was just wondering if they were kinda similar? I am totally out of CBS candles AND FO so I can't do a side-by-side comparison.
  21. I have been having some trouble with FO leaking out of Glass Glow even at 5%, so CandleScience said that maybe my thermometer is inaccurate. It doesn't go down to 32*, so I boiled some water to test. If water boils at 212* then I am guessing my thermomter shouldn't read 235*??? ETA - I was careful not to touch the side or bottom of the pot. Thanks, Jenn
  22. At one point I had gotten a quote from Wickit.net for a different brand, though (their Superior 600) and it was Thirty-something ($32 or $35 maybe??) for 1000. I was pleasantly surprised.
  23. I'm NOOO good at naming! CinnaNut Cafe???
