  1. beautiful as always!! ya know, those pillars would be perfect for Snowy Pine too...look like snow covered woods there!
  2. I want to try the tapered square Libbey jar with Glass Glow. It is 3.5" square...any suggestions on where to start? I was thinking double wicking with 2 csn 9's?
  3. The best wick to use depends on your wax, and it can vary from scent to scent even. Everyone here will tell you that the best way to figure it out is to test test test. But you can check with the supplier for a starting point, as they can usually give you an idea of what they (and the manufacturer) have found to perform well in the wax.
  4. I sell 2 sizes. The small 4.5 oz jars are a huge seller, then once they fall in love with a scent they start to by the large. I got rid of my medium size for that reason...they skipped right over it!
  5. I really like Candlescience Cranberry Marmalade...I smell no spice. But i don't use soy...tested it in palm. CS tests in soy show it to be strong though...HTH!
  6. I pour it full as well, and I don't have any problems getting them out. Maybe it is the wax? Are you adding in some container wax? That may be making it too soft. Just a thought.
  7. Sharon, Darn you!!! You are quite the enabler! Not only did you get me hooked on lemon biscotti pie, but now this??? Of course now I have to go and order me some Christmas pear. OH MAN!
  8. Well, that should be first on your list...getting a thermometer, even the glass "candy" thermometers they sell at Walmart. You are probably adding your FO at too low a temp. I would try heating the wax a little hotter, then add your FO at about 175. HTH!
  9. I'm sorry...can't help on that one but Peak's carries an oil called Sugar Plum Berries that is quite nice!
  10. Stacie, It might help if you tell us more about your method. What temp did you take the wax to, how much FO did you at? What temp did you add the FO? Where was the FO from and what scent? I used to use a mix of J223-soy 125 (75%-25%) and it had great throw. Let us know those details and I am sure we can get to the bottom of it! Jenn
  11. Thanks everyone! Yes, I did single wick this, but it is the 8 oz, not the big ones...those I would definitely double wick. (Although I had trouble with another square jar so I may give up on them altogether!). I used a CSN 11 in this. I think I could have used a 12, but after 4 1/2 hours on the first burn it left a crust on top of course and just nearly reached the glass walls except the hang-up in the corners. It's Peak Cinnamon Buns so it is a heavy oil and I think the 12 would have done a better job. And thanks Lisa for the CSN's!!!
  12. Gorgeous! and one of my favorite scents!
  13. That is just nuts! But yes, quite impressive at how clean that jar is. That's what I call a marathon burn!
  14. Welcome to the board! Did you try any of the soy/parrafin pre-blended waxes? I know some on the board love their 50-50 blends, and there are a number of different suppliers you could choose from. I have used a soy blend in the past and it did have great throw. Sometimes certain waxes and certain wax/FO combinations need more time to cure before you can get a decent hot throw. How long idd you wait before burning? Jenn
  15. I've never smelled the BG one, but Peaks has a great Blueberry muffin. HTH
  16. So sorry to hear about your job...I hope you have a terrific day!!
  17. Thanks Scented...btw, love your CAB pillars in the gallery!
  18. I recently got a 1 oz sample from the classy's and I know from reviews on this board that it is a super FO. I have used other FOs from this supplier, and when I opened this bottle I was not impressed by the OOB strength. I REALLY think that it might just be a bottle that sat for a while. My question is, if I think the scent has faded due to age, is it even worth pouring? Or am I just wasting time and wax?
  19. Bert is a she...I know, the name throws it off, huh? I think earlier in this post Bert listed her prices for 1,4,8 and 16 oz. bottles.
  20. I don't soap, but I know that KY has a really nice blackberry sage also. HTH!
  21. CB- I love the cranberry marmalade from CS!! Although I never tested it in soy, I can tell you that Peak's Spiced Cranberry is fantastic!
  22. I want to make a layered container with the Glass Glow, and was wondering if anyone had any tips on doing this...how long is long enough to set up before pouring the next layer, how much hotter to pour my second and third layers, etc. I've done it plenty with my parasoy but the Glass Glow is just so different, and I would just hate to screw it up royally and not be able to just melt it and repour because of the layers. TIA!! Jenn
  23. CB, Have you ever used any of these oils before? I have never ordered FO from Candlewic, but would love to since they are 15 minutes away from me!! They just aren't talked about much on here so I never bothered. Did get a sample fo the Pomegranate though as a freebie, and I didn't care for it...smelled perfumey to my nose, but you can have it if you want it to see for yourself! It's a 4 oz bottle.
