  1. Wow TOMH, thanks for taking the time to type all of that information out. I love learning and that was one helpful post!!
  2. I can't believe I missed seeing these. They're gorgeous soaps!
  3. I made mine several months ago. I ended up rebatching it because it was so ugly. The only scent I added was some tea tree oil. It stunk to high heaven, was nearly black and took quite a while to cure to a hard bar. It has mellowed nicely though. I took a bar with me to the shower this morning, and I really do like it.
  4. I had the same thing happen to me. I figured it was just me, but I had printed them and they were identical recipes, oils, percentages, discounts. I ran it again and went with the one that matched.
  5. Fantastic looking soaps, especially for your first attempts!
  6. I made these two last friday and saturday. The dark was supposed to be a coffee scent, Turkish Mocha (BB), but is smells way more chocolate than coffee. Since searching here, I now see that that's pretty common. It's okay though because it's a really good chocolate smell. I think that I might see about getting a straight coffee fragrance and then trying to do a layered soap using both. The second soap reminds me of spring. It's scented with EO's and has a citrus - minty smell. I used kaolin clay in both of these as well as 5% soy wax and they both are creamy and lather really well. I can't wait to see how they do when they've cured. As always, opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  7. Your colors look great. I bet they smell wonderful as well.
  8. 'Cosmic Blue', 'Out of the Blue'... I don't have a clue how you got this look, but I love it!
  9. I made round soaps yesterday (first time) and used 3" PVC. It worked great. Well except for the huge mess but that was my fault.
  10. I think that it looks tropical and very pretty.
  11. That is a very neat looking soap. I can't comment on the fragrance, but soap sure looks nice.
