@Belinda No I didn't get 25% off, but I checked out as guest so I'll definitely have to sign-up, thanks for the heads up! Any favorites you like from FB? I'm most excited to try out Circus Concession, I couldn't pass it up.

    I love circus concession!

From them I love their apple cinnamon, Cinnamon Broom, Pumpkin Sugared donut, cinnamon sugared donut, Sugar Cookie Royale, Pumpkin vanilla marshmallow, Pumpkin pecan waffles, birthday cake, sugar cookie, gingerbread cookies, salted caramel, creamy nutmeg, mulberry (the best I've found),  pretty much all their pumpkin scents are good. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

@Lizzy I actually just ordered a bunch from FB as I really liked their pricing! Can't wait for them to come in.

@NightLight I don't use the perfumers alcohol/spray bases a lot of the sites sell because I heard they add a lot of extra stuff to them. I use 95% ethanol (190 proof) that has no fermentation smell and no methanol, it's denatured with bitrex, but according to Basenotes that's standard and bitrex has no smell.

I've used all 3 and haven't noticed any sort of smell either.

Did you get their 25% off with your order from FB? If not, be sure and sign up for their newsletters because they have great sales and free shipping if your order is $100 or more. They should have another sale in July and they're always 25% off all FO's.

Can I ask you if the bubblegum is more like bubblelicious or more like Bazooka ? Most places are Bazooka, & while I don’t mind it, I much prefer the Bubblelicious type bubblegum.

I do have Bubblegum from VA candle supply & it’s PERFECT, but someone here made a thread not so long ago saying that her first orders from there, the oils were nice & strong, but the second larger order, they were completely different, so I’m still on the hunt for my perfect bubblegum. Thanks !

I'm looking for a good bubblegum also. I've ordered some oils from VA but never their bubblegum but now want to give it a try. What else do you like from them?

  4. @BenderSF, thank you for the recommendations! I haven't tried most from your list. The ones I have tried are Aspen Caramel Woods, Chestnuts and Brown Sugar, Christmas Wish (I love this one too!), and Cornbread muffins, which I haven't put in wax.

I'm more of a bakery person but I really need to quit buying so many bakery scents since they don't sell well for me. Maybe one day when I branch out they will. I sure hope so since that's what I like to pour LOL! A lot of my customers like masculine scents or leather and leather blends which I don't care for with the exception of a couple.

I really hate the way WSP has messed up JS website. I always loved going to her site. It was just so inviting and drew me right in.

I was looking at a bunch of oils yesterday right when the migration happened (you know...I needed one oil so I was putting about 20 into my cart.  😄 ).  I still had about 15 oils open in my browser, so I saved copies of those pages.  I just checked all of them on the new site.  One of them went up by a dollar for the 4 oz bottle, but the rest are the same price (at least, for the 4 oz and 16 oz...the old site didn't list the sample price on the page.)  So if they did raise prices, at least they didn't do it across the board.

Yeah.  Luckily I'm pretty well set for my JS favorites, but there's still one I need to stock up on.

What are your favorites from JS? I have quite a few of hers but need to downsize but always looking for oils to buy!

Don’t do it!!!! Just purchased six (16 oz) bottles of FO from them...waste of $154! Can’t sell these on Etsy, as they have NO SCENT! The 6 I purchased are: Wild Peach Poppies, Lavender & chamomile, Wood sage & Sea Salt, Honey Lavender, WhiteTea & Sage, and Namaste. Waste of wax, labels, ink, clamshells, dye, and warning stickers...and time! No scent whatsoever. I was excited because they offer fragrances I’ve never seen before at my usual companies, but lesson learned...”don’t fix what ain’t broke “! From now on, I will be sticking with Flaming Candle, Candle Science, and Lonestar! WASTE!

I haven't used any of the ones you listed but I have several of hers that are great. I'm sorry that you have had that experience. I do love a lot of Flaming, CS and Lone Star oils too.

Have you tried selling the JS oils on here?

Don’t do it!!!!!!!!! Wasted money, time, and materials with Just Scent Fragrance oils!!! Stick with the good ones...flaming candle, Candle Science, and Lone Star! This place is a joke! No scent whatsoever!

What did you get from them that you didn't like? I've had oils from them that were weak but several that were very good and strong. It seems that's the way with all suppliers.

Hey guys. So I have to share this with you all. I am OBSESSED. I bought a mainstay “butterscotch, salted caramel candle” at Walmart just in a hurry, and when I tell you it’s CHANGEDDDD my life lol. I’m to the point where when I go to Walmart, there always gone and today I bought every single one they had. I now have 10 of them, and 7 wax cube packs. I trim the wick before I light it every time, and I can use it al the way till it’s gone. I know main stays candles are pretty well known but when I tell you this scent is amazing , I’m not kidding lol!

JS has a salted butterscotch FO. I wonder if it's similar. That sounds so yummy! I will check that out next time I go to Walmart.

    Bumping this great old thread!

Just used the "Pizza" fragrance oil from TheCandlemakersStore and it was repulsive. Literally threw the batch out the backdoor before it could even cure. Horrible, horrible smell that reminded me of vomit.

I don't even understand why they make oils like this! I guess for gags. EEEEWWWWW!!!

Does it matter how deep your silicon mold is? What would you suggest the “perfect” depth is?

At least 3/4 inches deep I would think. I'm sure you can bake them in molds that are not as deep but the beads bake down so that seems like it would be too thin. I use cookie cutters too but am really liking silicone molds the more I use them.

Maybe that explains why the Sugar Cookie Royal I thought I would try came smelling exactly like coffee. I got no sugar cookie out of that oil at all. Now the other oils were fine. Now I'm wondering if I should order more...

I know this is an old post but if you haven't ordered more of their SCR you defiantly should! Or at least try it from Flaming. It's such a great bakery scent.

Forgive me for asking this question because I feel I should know....But, who is "Vickey"?? LOL

I'm thinking she was the person that owned Rustic Escentuals at one time. They're owned by Wholesale Supplies Plus now but their site still says Rustic Escentuals.

As far as the dimples, no it doesn't matter, it's going to melt anyway. I just hate them LOL! I did see a guy on a youtube video pouring it the other day and his were pretty smooth. I think it depends on how fast it cools as to getting dimples.

Where are you located? Check the prices from Rustic. Right now for some reason I can get 40 pounds shipped to me for only $15. From Virginia and Flaming the shipping was around $25 or more.

  14. The one I have is from Keystone and it's a Peak fragrance. It smells good. I've smelled the one from Buy It Ship It and I really liked theirs. It's their own blend. I don't order much from them (they are a little high priced) so I don't know if I"ll order it again, although I should since I can get a lady I go to church with to pick it up for me. I haven't tried anyone else's except I did get a sample from NG once and it had a floral note to it which I didn't like. I wanted the fruity scented one.

Question: When you say you blend 25/75, is that 25-container(say, 464) and 75-KY Tart wax?

That would be my guess. I'm throwing my two cents in since it looks like those that were in this thread haven't been on in a while. I've used KY wax and love it except for the dimples. I have found that a repair gets rid of them and they have smooth tops or I add some container wax to the blend but I add 4630 because I want more paraffin than soy. You can also get this wax from  Virginia Candle and Flaming. It seems a couple more places have it too. Just Scent I think is one.
