Guest OldGlory
Judy, are you close to Knoxville? Aztec Intl is in Knoxville and that is where I buy most of my FOs. They have a showroom with all of their products on display, including samples of all of their FOs.The ones I do well with from Aztec are:Apple JackBlackberry SageMistletoe KissesLovespellSweet Potato & Brown SugarCaramel Pecan PieFresh LinenRecently tested Volcano and is it really good too. There are lots of other that work in 464 from Aztec, just can't remember which ones at the moment. JudyR83
Thanks OldGlory.I'm about a 3 1/2 - 4 hour drive from Aztec. I've never tried too many of their oils, not sure why but I'll order some samples.I loved Peak's Blackberry Sage, how does Aztec's compare? Guest OldGlory
I haven't tried Peak's, sorry.I was buying this from Tradewinds (oh so many years ago) and asked Aztec to dupe this for me. When the sample came back I poured some candles and gave ithem to my testers in a double blind study. The answer was: the new one from Aztec was better than the original.I think it's my all time favorite fragrance.
PhoenixFyre
I was going to ask the same question to you, OldGlory, about Aztec's Blackberry Sage. I bought Peak's and really liked it, but it didn't seem very strong and I was hoping for a little more oomph since it was such a great scent. Could totally have been something I did wrong, but I wanted to get that same fragrance from a couple of other vendors and duplicate what I did to see if it was my process or the FO. Good to know that you've had success with Aztec's, so I'll give theirs a shot.
Jcandleattic
IDK - it's almost impossible to narrow it down to just 3! (That's why we all have SO MANY fo's) Hmm, maybe I'll try narrowing it down to my top one in each category. Snow Witch - Mad Oils (winter/holiday) Fruit Slices - Peak (Summer/Fruit)Ocean/Moonlight Path (Spring/Spa - custom blend using Peaks oils) Okay, this list took me over 30 minutes to try and think long and hard about which ones I loved enough to call my "favorite" and of course, it's subject to change daily based on mood and other factors, but those 3 seem to be ones I always like no matter what. Scented
My favorites all seem to get discontinued or a supplier goes oob.So patchouli in almost anything would rank at the top, leaving me to buy from lebermuth when I run out some day.SECOND would be dragon's blood.Third might be Rapture from ah/re. There are a number of scents there to rival that though.
