LadyJo
I get mine from eclamshell.com http://eclamshell.com/search_results.asp?PAGE=2&stock=1&catName=1500scroll down to # 1524875 in a case but the cost is way less than the others I've seen even with shipping. I'm in Texas too.Jo

EnvyCandles
Any problems with some clamshells smelling kind of skunky? I feel like a batch of clamshells I made...smell, well kind of plastic-y. You can smell the FO, but also the plastic. They were not like this when first poured. I have used WSP and Aztec before with no problems... Anyone have this problem? Lorelei
I haven't had any go "skunky" Can anyone tell me...I've read here on this forum that Millcreek's clamshells are larger? Is this correct? How much wax do they hold?
kandlekrazy
I've had skunky smelling clamshells but once they were aired out for a day or so the smell went away. I always try to unbox them and stack them in a cabinet with the doors open for the first day or so. I've never had a smell come after pouring scented wax into them. Beezy
the clam shells from eClamshell.com are made of PVC. Does anyone know of a supplier that makes polypropylene clam shells?
kandlekrazy
I use clamshells from Impact Mfg so not sure they are the same ones you are using. I've never had a skunky smell with just some scents and never after airing them out. Sometimes it's really bad when I first open the box! SuzyK
I use the ones from eclamshell and they are great. I haven't had any problems with them. They hold a lot of wax. I weigh them between 3.2 and 3.8 oz.

Beezy
Their site says they are made from clear vinyl. ? .I actually spoke to someone on the phone after having problems with UPS losing my sample (You can request a free sample), and she said they are made of PVC. Pretty sure PVC will start to suck the scent/oils out of the wax after a few weeks.
NaturallyTru
Impact are PVC also. I don't have any trouble with scent loss at all. Even holiday scents from last year.PVC#3 for recycling. SuzyK
I haven't had problems with them sucking the scent out. I've had some for months and they are fine.
pleasureridgecandles
Just an FYI I placed an order last week for a case of the 1524 from eclamshell and next day got an email stating they were OOS and lead time was about 2 1/2 weeks. I checked their site and I guess they don't update when things are OOS b/c nowhere does it state they are out and it takes you through the entire order process including getting an email confirmation of your order. It would be helpful if their site was updated so I don't try to place another order after the 2 1/2 weeks is up and they still be OOS.I've also not had any scent loss from any of them. I've got some that I've had put away for my own use that are about 2 years old and still smell great. LadyJo
wow they must have had a run on clamshells for tarts lately. my last case was delivered about a week ago so guess I got mine just in time !they make them themselves there so hopefully they'll add more to their stock when making this next batch. Lorelei
I've had a run on wax orders with them too. I am down to my last 10. Someone from here was gracious enough to send me some and they are on their way.
beans
Eclamshell has a 1524 and Impact has a 1524 are they the same clamshell sold by two different companys??? Eclamshell has them for a little cheaper and both companys are in Corona CA. Is there a quality difference???
safetysue
I switched to eclamshells and find them to be of the same quality as Impacts. They did tell me on my first order that if they are OOS it will take 2 - 3 weeks to get them shipped. HTH
