Paulette
First one turned out great. Second one has whipped wax but it keeps falling off. How do I fix that?

sharyl55
Love the whipped one and the lighthouse picture. Sorry can't help. Did you try using your heat gun on it for a second before applying the whipped wax?
mhardy1234
WOW!! How do you do that??? Is it a special mold for a hurricane??
creativegems
The only way that I know to keep the whipping on is to over dip.Janet
Lin
over dipping can ruin the picture though with to much wax(ask me how i know) Lin Maybe try a heat gun just enough to make the wax from the hurrican and the whipped adhere better. I havent tried it but have been thinking about this. Lin
Corence
Very Pretty. I have been thinking of doing a whipped hurricane like that, but didnt know how it would turn out or even if it would work. Nice Job.
creativegems
You could try just dipping the grubby part and see if that works. I don't think it would be to hard to dip around the picture.Janet
Paulette
thanks everyone. I am going to try dipping it or maybe pouring the wax over it being very careful around the picture. I will let you know Lin if it works.mhardy1234 --- I made the hurricane in a 4x4 mold, once it was cooled and everything I melted wax and whipped it and used a fork to put it on then sprinkled it with glitter. Love that glitter!!!

SatinDucky
Very pretty! Not sure about the wax falling off, but maybe not let it set up quite as much? Or possibly zapping it as was mentioned...
Michelle_InMi
Holy moly, that is GORGEOUS. I'm sorry the wax keeps falling off, definitely let us know how the dip goes. I would really like to make something that looks similar to that.
Groovy Chic
Beautiful hurricane Paulette! I don't know if this would work, but what about maybe trying some micro wax with the wax you whip up. Maybe 10% or so. I use micro alot for glueing embeds to the outside of the pillar. Those babies don't go anywhere using micro as my glue. Just a thought... Candle Man
You can also use a fork and scratch the 'cane wax before you add the whipped, this will give it some "Tooth" so the whipped will stick. Also when you add the first layer of whipped wax have that layer a little thiner so it sticks well. Then while working quickly and the first layer is still warm add more layers. Paulette
okay I dipped the just the grubby part and it helped alot. It wasn't too hard. I will try some of the suggestions you all gave. Thanks so much.
Mozzie
Hi Paulette, Great canes. Glad you're having some success with stopping the wax from dropping off because you've got a fantastic effect going there although the lighthouse one is also lovely.
