jenscandles
You also have to factor in that this is a home party plan so they probably bump the product up to double their profit so that the reps can make a profit to.That's true...and probably how they can charge $5 for a regular clamshell. HeavenScentU
I noticed that Scentsy sells 2.5 oz. clamshells for $5.00 . I thought they were 3 oz. Are they smaller clamshells or are they using less wax??? I have never really looked at their products... I guess I can let my customers know that. CandleMama6
I have never seen a weight on them. I know that a friend of mine who used to buy them from Scentsy before I started making them said she never saw a weight on them either. I never noticed how full they fill them. I will have to see if I can find one to look at. I agree, time to let customers know.
HeavenScentU
This Scentsy website says 2.4 oz. Hmmm...Makes me wonder if they are the same size....I will ask around. With over 80 Fragrances to choose from, your sure to find a scent you will love! These Bars come in a premolded container holding six squares. They are approximately 2.4 oz. of our high quality wax. Place all or as little as you would like into your warmer

I'm not all into the Scentsy thing, but I did check on their site the other day because I saw someone saying something about their new clamshells and low and behold their shaped like a container candle.. Candybee
Wish clamshells sold in my area. I occasionally make tarts and they sell pretty good but not the clamshells. I wish they did cause they are so convenient as as far as packaging and storing and display goes.I have also been looking at the single cavity clamshells at C&S. They have a 1 oz and 5 oz single cavity shell I have been considering using for M&P soap:Guest size:http://newcart.candlesandsupplies.com/Store/Products/Candles/PID-CLAM-GSOAP.aspx5 oz size:http://newcart.candlesandsupplies.com/Store/Products/Candles/PID-CLAM-REC.aspxAnd they also have 2 cavity votive clams:http://newcart.candlesandsupplies.com/Store/Products/Candles/PID-CLAM-VO.aspx
kyme1911
I have been wanting to try the votive clamshells. They look really neat, they seem like they would keep the fragrance (intensity). Kyme
Candybee
I like the 2 votive clamshells too. Makes me want to start making votives again. Haven't made them in a while.
jenscandles
I like those too!. It doesn't mention how many ounces it holds. Does anyone happen to know.I think it's actually less than the 10 cavity we just got from the co-op, based on the dimensions. C&S shows this for the 24 cavity:Measures 6 1/4" H x 4 3/4" W x 5/8" D. Each cavity measures 1" w x 5/8" h x 5/8" d. Impact shows just the pouring area of the 10 cavity to be 6.6 x 4 with each cavity 1.91 x 1.28 x .968http://www.impact-mfg.com/Store/Images/ClamshellDrawings/505L.gif

IwantItgreen
Are these the same quality as the ones that Peak and ICS sells?
CandleMama6
Are these the same quality as the ones that Peak and ICS sells?I requested a sample from them about 2 weeks ago and I like them. I have never bought from Peaks or ICS but I think they are just as good a quality as the ones I have gotten from Impact. They even feel a little thicker to me. IwantItgreen
I was going to order a sample also, but shipping would have be $11! Ouch!!Glad to here they are of good quality. Thanks Candlemama6
CandleMama6
You are more than welcome. I spoke to them and they are going to throw the sample in with my order so there won't be any extra charge for shipping.
candlelady
Candles and Supplies carries the 24 cavity clamshells:http://newcart.candlesandsupplies.com/Store/Products/Candles/PID-CLAM-24.aspxYou can get them for as low as $ 0.71 cents each if you order in bulk.I ordered 10 of these 24 cav. clamshells. I like them, however, unlike the 6-cav clamshells, you cannot pour outside the cavity itself, thus making each cavity separate from the others. No "flat" area on top of the cavities to pour a solid "top". Am I making sense? I would think this is way too much work. Once you put the lid down there is no room left.Carries 4 oz. of wax.I like the other big clamshells if they had the ability to pour like the orig. 6-cav.Carrie

bah67
Wondering how everyone likes the large 6oz. clamshells? How is the quality? I need to order some and really would like a larger capacity clamshell and I think 6oz would be ideal. TIA

The 6 oz ones were some that I found after the fact.
