My very first pillar candle

Not the color I wanted. I don't what I was thinking. I got it a little darker than I wanted. I decided to do the chunks so I wouldn't have to poke holes. I wish it would have been a little smoother on the sides. I went gung ho and did a huge candle. I love the big pillars. My friend BarbaraAL helped me figure out the wick size I needed. Thank you Barbara!

Congratulations on your first pillar - very exciting. Lovely colour and fragrance. Chunks usually come out a bit rough on the sides because the overpour wax is cooling as it works its way through. If you want smoother sides next time, try heat gunning your mould for a couple of minutes after pouring or else do Donita's crackle finish after you've unmoulded your candle.
