I'm jealous:p cause I tried my hand at mottling this weekend (first time) and nothing, zilch, nadda, and I'm pretty sure it's the wax I'm using, or not using . What wax did you use? What wax did you use/how big is the candle?I used a straight Chinese paraffin (MP 62C (143F)) with 0.5 chip of brown dye and 5.6% (25g (0.9oz)) of Caramel FO. Heated to 192F, added dye and fo and poured at 180F. Size is 3 x 4.5" octagon. HTH. And thanks for all the positive feedback, I wasn't sure that my wax would mottle and now I know - hurray!
