number2of7
Okay, I've decided that I'd like to finally to try my hand at votives.....however, when I went searching for molds, I saw that there were straight ones and flaired ones.Obviously, this is a preference thing....or does one have advantages over the other? ForHisGlory
3 oz Dixie Cups work great for me!!
Ring of Fire
I like the regular ones. No special reason.
eugenia
I believe that the flared are standard. That's what I use.e
jennhalcyon
I think the flared look nicer but I sometimes have to SHOVE them in my tight-fitting votive cups.

Rae
I like them all, but I really like the octagon and square.
eugenia
I like them all, but I really like the octagon and square.I make those but there is not a large market as the holders are not standard.e

jenniejr
flared or straight round ... these are the only ones I can always find holders for. Did the octagon & square, but my customers were disappointed when they couldn't find holders for them.
cozyaromas
I like the flared but always end up picking the straight ones. I like the look of the octagon and square ones. I have a strip of 3 square votives from candlechem, I need to test them out and maybe get a couple of octagon votives as well. Try all of them and see which ones you like the best. heidijo
Straight... due to the candle holder fit.
Candybee
I have the flared molds and like the look of them. However putting them in some of the standard votive holders or votive packaging can be a bit problematic because of the flare top. Something to think about. debscent
If you plan on selling them, stick with straight. If you want to do gift sets, go with the flair and the corresponding votive cup would be a good idea. I love the octagon for myself (I do them in chunks), but had to change all my votive cups to the roly poly type.
