I like the rustic look and have done the mason jar with rustic lids and apothecary jars with rustic lids . . . what else is a good and popular container for this look??Hope someone has some ideas for me! Thanks in advance for your help!

elfcat
I've made some really nice candles using tin and glassware found at flea markets and antique stores. You can find a lot of old Tin "shakers" (for sugar and salt) at those kind of places.
SoyKandles
Well . . . a milk carton wasn't exactly what I was looking for in ideas for a candle container, but I guess you guys are out of new ideas!! Thanks anyway!
Vicky_CO
Have you looked to the barrel jars those would make neat rustic type of container
Vicky_CO
Okay this place calls them cracker jars but these jarshttp://www.thecandlemakersstore.com/category/jars.cracker_jar/
SoyKandles
Thanks Vicky for suggesting the cracker jars - I had looked into those years ago and forgot about them! I've also thought about a hinged lid jar, but I think those cost quite a bit more. Thanks
Vicky_CO
I looked in to hinged at one time also I could not justify the cost on them at the time.

SoyKandles
Those Lantern Jars are nice. The labels look great also - just a very nice website altogether! Thanks for pointing those candles out!
chevcher
you could use the cracker jars and try some different style lids for them. Fillmore has quite a few different syles of jars/lids to choose from, and alot of them have rustic potential. C&S has alot of the rustic jars on their site too. I've done the old quart jars with the zinc lids and wire bail pints with glass lids before.keep in mind that if the jars not very rustic looking, you can acheive that look with your packaging. hope you find something you like. Trappeur
I just looked at their site....Beautiful site and very different...But they don't sell jars - just make them and sell them filled with their wax....They must do very well...I was just looking at all the stores they sell to...But is a beautiful site..
