Kaybee23
I am looking for a Grapefruit FO that will throw well in a parasoy. I have not found a strong one and I have someone at work that bugs me every other week. I had tried a couple in straight soy and nothing. Now I am experimenting with parasoy and hoping I will have better luck getting something to throw in it. Any suggestions? Would even consider a grapefruit combo as long as the grapefruit is predominate. Thanks a bunch!
guppygirl
Have you ever tried WYWs vanilla grapefruit? The vanilla acts more as an anchor and grapefruit is predominant to me. I rename it pink grapefruit & use 4.5% in soy. HTH!
Sharon in PA
Mill Creek's Nashiki Grapefruit was strong for us in J223/50/50 blend, but they do formulate their oils to throw well in 100% soy... HTH!
sawyer's moon
I'll second MC's grapefruit - super strong in soy! People love it! I also like SNC's Ruby Red Grapefruit but I have a hard time recommending the company because of customer service problems I've experienced....but the RRG is very true imo.Jen
Casey
Candle Cocoon's Fairy Dust & Twinkle toes throws great in my soy.
sawyer's moon
<Slapping forehead> - how could I have forgotten my very favorite FDTT? This is one killer fo. I actually just soaped it (cp) last week and so far the scent is holding up very well through cure.Jen
Kaybee23
Thanks ya'll for all of the suggestions. I think I may order a couple to try. I really could care less, as I am not a big citrus fan; but one of my best customers wants it, so I have to try.
Scented
The sweet grapefruit from CC was pretty nice. I happen to like grapefruit and jasmine out of Creative Candle Supply.
siberia
I second the recommendation of WYW Vanilla Grapefruit. The throw is awesome in soy and as guppygirl stated, there is very little vanilla in the blend.

Mtngrl
I'd be interested in knowing about the ruby red. Funny, I just posed this question in a different thread prior to reading this one.
Kaybee23
Which are you looking for?Regular Grapefruit - more sour / tartorRuby Red - which is more sweet and less tartThe sample smell she brought me was some leftover Williams-Sonoma liquid soap in Pink Grapefruit, and to me it smells a little on the tart side. I has Pink Grapefruit essential oil in it.
Meridith
Just Scents has a wonderful Grapefuit Vanilla also. The vanilla I think really softens the grapefruit but to me the grapefruit is still the dominating scent. It throws well in my soy. I am also in agreement with MC's Nishiki Grapefruit. It's great too!
Kaybee23
Thanks everyone for the help. I have ordered some Fairy Dust and Twinkle Toes and some Nashiki Grapefruit to try. I hope one of those will do it. Just couldn't get a regular grapefruit at any of my local suppliers to throw.
Jordan
CC's FDTT is really great, but my customers seem to prefer TSB Sweet Serendipity. Another awesome grapefruit is JS's grapfruit vanilla twist. It is very strong and completely different. We sell lots of this one too. Kaybee23
Well, if this wasn't a good customer I wouldn't be doing such a search. I am hoping that one of the 2 I ordered will be "the one" that she likes. If not, maybe I'll just try to trade or find some other ones that I can buy from someone on the board. The shipping costs and all of the other goodies I am buying when I buy the sample, are killing me Thanks everyone so much!
