Synascents Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Is there a recipe for body frosting or is it just a premade base that you purchase and if so, which supplier carries it?TIAStephanie Quote
Crystala25 Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I'm not sure of a recipe, but I have seen body frosting base at essentialsbycatalina. Quote
Luci Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I'm also interested and have been searching but not coming up with anything much. Quote
Hibiscus Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 It's really just a cream with a light texture that's non greasy and fast absorbing. If you can make lotion you can make that as well. if you can't make either, than I would purchase it from essentialsbycatalina. I've tried theirs and it's very nice. Quote
thecandlespastore Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 You can turn any lotion base or butter into a "frosting" by whipping the heck out of it. Makes it light as air and fluffy. Quote
socoolsoap Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I actually ordered some before, can't remember who from. It was thick, really thick. I guess it would depend on you. How thick or thin you want it to be. Quote
Christine Flapp Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 I have the recipe but don't know the procedure. Is this an w/o emulsion or o/w emulsion since the mixing procedures are different? Should the distilled water be heated, if so, what temp? Should phenonip & water be mixed together then added to the other ingredients or what? How should this be mixed, via hand, beaters, whisk & how long? Thank you for helping. Quote
grama Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I love the body frosting from essentialsbycatalia. Looking for a very simple mango butter recipe Quote
ladysj Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I love the body frosting from essentialsbycatalia. Looking for a very simple mango butter recipeKimberly's Whipped Shea recipe is a great recipe. I just subbed Mango Butter for the Shea. My testers love it. It also stays a nice soft appliable consistency. HTH Quote
