Raggedy Dani
That's kinda unique and cool, very different....I like it, prolly not supposed to happen but that's just to cool.Dani
topofmurrayhill
I see the taper is no longer an only child. Now there's a whole brood. That's a cool effect. Did you use stearic acid in the candle? Maybe that's what the lace is made of.
Patience
No additives. It's a crystalline pillar blend from Strahl & Pitsch. I don't know what they're blending but I love this wax. The RRD 47 was curling but I didn't striaghten it. Just wanted to see what would happen. And yes, the tapers are multiplying like bunnies. Dunno if it is considered "correct" by those "in the know", but I like it anyway.BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL!!!
Donita
Very pretty. topofmurrayhill
Thats a cool effect, I was thinking the same as Top about the stearin.Stearic is a big part of the palm, so that was right -- just not in the way we imagined.
Sally
Stearic is a big part of the palm, so that was right -- just not in the way we imagined.Someone recently told me about some candles he'd had that were made only with stearin, he said they burned like the one in the pic. & left a lacy shell.I've not found any pics of stearin only candles yet but I'll keep looking.Stearin is pretty expensive over here tho' so I don't think I'll be giving it a try just yet.Sally. Patience
I was looking at the Strahl & Pitsch website to learn more about this wax. But they don't offer a whole lot of info. I think I'll send an email. So stearic acid is part of the blend?
