CareBear Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Still need to work on getting the swirl all the way through to the bottom - I'm close but not quite there.I had them "curing" in the basement, but I think it's too humid down there so I'm bringing them back up. Just wished I liked the scent better, cause it's STRONG!You can see where some of the yellow has separated out when the lye sweated out (and subsequently disappeared). Quote
Kaybee23 Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I had a green do that to me before. Your bars are beautiful, you should be proud of them! Quote
Grumpy Girl Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Awesome job girl! You swirl those better than me. What scent did ya use? Quote
Brenda Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Your salt bars are beautiful! :highfive: Love the green swirls. Quote
CareBear Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 I used RB Guava Green Fig. I had read a review that said it was great at 0.7oz ppo but only had enough to do 0.5 ppo. I figured it would be too weak at the lower level and with the added salt but it was all I had.Well, I wish it was weak cause it's stinking up my house! I don't care for the scent myself, and so tried to cure it in the basement but it was too humid and started to sweat. So it's back in my AC kitchen. Oh well, maybe it'll grow on me!Please tell me the scent will mellow with time.... Quote
