  1. I haven't made soap in a long time, but I used to line my wood molds with that clear quilting sheets from JoAnn's. I cut them to size and they just peeled right off of the soap log
  2. I'm not getting notifications when someone PM's me for some reason and I forgot about this post! Lori I will probably be able to get to that box this weekend.
  3. What is the "name" of those blue half circle molds that are very sturdy? I know there are some of you that know about those :smiley2: I'm purging due to a move this year and I know I've got a bunch of those, just don't remember the "name " of them for me to research the price.
  4. I've got about 30 of these contraptions made up. Works great
  5. Thanks. From what I've read, you need to wick up with the Mistletoe and Spiced Cranberry, right?
  6. I've gotten my wicking down and am ready to sell in a small craft show in a couple of weeks. I'm doing regular mason jars (no shipping) and was wondering which sells better, the 8oz or 16 oz? I'll have some of each, but I'm thinking the smaller would sell better since they will be cheaper. I'm thinking of doing those for $6 each or 2 for $10 What are your thoughts?
  7. I think I had a few beers when I made those posts. :laugh2: I got Mistletoe and Spiced Cranberry. I hope they do well in soy
  8. Second burn last night was good, full melt pool in an hour. The flame is still a little low. I think I may try CD20 when I get some. Hot throw isn't there though
  9. I've got a lot of HTP 83's but I'm thinking that may be a little too small. I usually use that in some of my 1/2 pint jars and these pint jars are bigger.
  10. I test burned the CD18 today. It took 3 hours to get a full melt pool. At first I was worried because it burned very low, almost like it was going to go out. I do have some HTP that I may try, but I've had problems with those mushrooming, which is why I've gone to CD's.
  11. Thanks Tootie. I did pour one and will test in a day or so. I used 18 in that one.
  12. I poured one yesterday to try it. I hope it's better
  13. I just got this and do not like it OOB. It doesn't smell like a Christmas Tree to me at all. Has anyone used this and does it smell better in wax?
  14. I did a search but could only find wick suggestions for a wide mouth 16 oz jar. I'd like to test these since I can get them locally. They are the pint size, 16 oz. I use CD12's in my square mason with good results and I'm thinking of trying CD18. Is that a good place to start?
  15. Now that I've decided to use the 8 oz jelly jars, I'd like to get nice pewter lids. So who has the best price on those?
  16. Tootie you will love it. That's what I use for my tarts and will be making votives soon
  17. As much as I love these jars, I think I've decided to just go with regular 1/2 pint jelly jars. I can get those locally. I just pay $15 shipping for a dozen of jars
  18. Oops! I typed too wuickly So no one has suggestions?
  19. They are having a $1.00 per pound special in October. I really want Mistletoe (although it's OOS today) and Spiced Cranberry. What are some other favorites for soy? TIA
